Not too many people will remember him, but Ozell Jones played his freshman and sophomore years at Wichita State, along with Cliff Levingston and Antoine Carr in the very early 1980's, then he transferred to Cal State Fullerton. He ended up playing a couple seasons in the NBA.
He was shot and killed over the weekend in his home in California, where he lived with his family.
The police are investigating but have no suspects.
