I don't think I need to remind anyone just how critical this game is. Unlike the Chicago Bears, we have a chance for a great conference season, but we have to play with a full 40 minute effort in every game, against every team, no matter how good or bad they are.

If this isn't enough to get the team up for tomorrow night's game, maybe they should just talk to the Bears. For those who did not see it, the Bears played their best game of the year, maybe two years as they beat the Vikings 36-30 in OT. They showed tonight the type of effort that needs to be shown EVERY night. Unlike the Braves though, the Bears learned their lesson way, way too late! You don't show up for a full game in garbage time like the Bears did, and it still may not be enough to save Lovie's job. It shows he is a good coach and the team has good talent when they want to show it. But they weren't consistent enough to bring their "A" game every night, and some of their players admitted that.

Bradley though still has time to show they are a great team. They start with a clean slate tomorrow night, and they start with a winnable road game that needs to be taken if they want to make a serious run in the Valley race. It starts tomorrow night at Drake, and hopefully they can build from that. And if possible, maybe Les should obtain a tape of the Bears game and play it for the team tomorrow. Drake may not be a great team, but they like the Bears, are capable of beating anyone if they put their minds to it. I'm sure Bradley understands that after Iowa St., and I am confident they will put in a great effort against Drake.

Great? Why don't we start with 'good'? Gotta stand before you can walk, and walk before you can run. We stood up against Illinois, but then tripped on the carpet and smacked our foreheads against WCU and Loyola. The our big brother kicked us in the face against Iowa St. Time to stand up and start over.

Well I thought most people on these boards won't accept "good", i.e. another 4th place finish.

I say let's shoot for great, and if good is what we get, so be it. That way it will be better than mediocre either way.

Good teams finish in the top 3 and contend for a league title. Average ones and bad ones don't. Great teams win the league. We've been nowhere close to great since 1996.

Well I think we agree that top 3 would qualify as good. But heck, shoot for a Valley championship this year. If that doesn't pan out, the top 3 is still an obtainable goal since we don't know just how good WSU and MSU are at the moment, and CU, IL St. and SIU can finish anywhere from 2nd through 8th. That's why I think a top 3 finish is there for the taking.

Also I agree that we haven't had a great team since 1996 if you consider a team that leads the league from beginning to end great. But we certainly can't dismiss 2006 as a great team even though we took off later in the season. We don't necessarily have to win the Valley to make an NCAA Tournament run, either via the Valley tournament championship or a second place at-large bid. But agreed, the weaker the conference the more necessary it is to win the conference to be considered great.

I agree. We're on the same page. Let's get it started tonight in Des Moines!

The game is carried by Mediacom in Iowa (channel 22), and Comcast here in Central Illinois (cable channel 74). Each cable system will do the game with their own broadcast team. I believe the game will be on Comcast in Chicago on Comcast cable channel 102.
Like in past years, Mediacom cable systems in the central Illlinois area are supposedly going to pick up the Comcast feed, but you should check with your cable office to see if you will get the game, and what channel it is on.

Maybe Mediacom cable customers can tell us what systems and which channels the games were carried on in past years.

I'm a MediaCom customer supplied from the Quad Cities. I can't recall channels from the past. I checked my menu this morning for tonight's games and the Bradley/Drake game was not listed.

                        I'll be listening to Snell.

Gees of all the luck As a Direct TV subscriber, and thus the games is not available to me, I am forced to go to BWW and watch the game and drink beer. Darn.

The main change is JUST WIN and it needs to begin tonight if BU has any hope of challenging for a title, this team is capable of doing a lot of good things and the time has come to do just that, hopefully we will see some changes in our offense and defense tonight and blow out the Drake.

For those watching on Comcast Peoria, i've found that channel 44 has better quality than channel 74. They are both the same broadcast but for some reason channel 44 is better.
