Creighton is leading New Mexico in Albuquerque. If they can hang on, the MVC will go 8-1 today. The only team to lose, so far, is Drake, they lost a very close one at Iowa.-

One thing about our team is that they are full of surprises! Make no mistake tomorrow will be a tough one.

Well if we have several teams with top 50 RPI's, an at-large bid via our league record could still happen as it did in 2006. I don't know if the Valley is quite that strong this year with teams like Drake and Creighton dragging things down a bit, but I'd say the Valley has taken a big step back up this year!

We only had 2 non-conference losses in 2006, and both of those were on the road to decent teams (Loyola, 17-11 that year; Butler, 19-12 that year). Even if we run the table at home the rest of the season, it wouldn't be enough to overcome those 2 dreadful home losses. With Illinois continuing its sporadic play, that win is losing its luster.

I was going to say so is New Orleans but that team has a way of pulling out games!

The men’s basketball team defeated South Carolina 68-61 on Saturday night at Benjamin Johnson Arena. Wofford erased a three-point halftime deficit and won over the Gamecocks for the first time since 1939.

And BYU had a 33-0 run in the first half on the way to a 91-34 win over Eastern Washington -
