UMass was penalized because ONE of their players had secretly hired an agent and
Calipari could not then nor cannot possibly have been expected to know about it.

Memphis was penalized because one of their players secretly had a ringer take his test,
and even the NCAA initially certified the result, so how could Memphis or Calipari have known about it?

I am still waiting for even ONE person to make even ONE reasonable argument how Calipari could be held responsible for the two separate and unrelated incidents...and guess what...
the NCAA completely agrees with me having totally exonerted Calipari in both incidents.
I am NOT a Calipari fan and I think his recruiting and coaching techniques border on the continuously shady...but..

...Get back to me next time Calipari slaps, chokes, or verbally abuses a player or a student on campus, or bullies
a ref or a security guard or police officer, a player, another coach, or one of his superiors.
Or if he makes a buffoon out of himself with horrifically foul language, cursing, and tirades, or throws chairs,
clipboards, towels, or slams other equipment...or tries to cover his own ineptitudes and bad coaching by ripping
mercilessly into the refs at every opportunity trying to blame them for every time he failed to win a game.
Just let me know..........and then we can have a debate about who is more civil, reasonable, fair, or has the better personality by far...

There has been plenty of rumors that Calipari is throwing money out there at players ala USC type activities. It was known that FedEx hired a few parents who played for Memphis. Usually where there is smoke there is fire, T, btw since when have you taken what the NCAA says as the complete truth?

I have heard from a source I have out east that KY is trying to convince a player to renege on a verbal for a bit of cash. The player is a top 20 guy that fully committed elsewhere but this has not stopped Calipari. The rumor also has it that BK heard about this and reacted in kind.

you don't have to convince me, I agree the top programs toss $$ around in ways that is allowed although shady and in ways that are illegal but ignored by NCAA..
