I'm not saying they would not spend anytime in the latter or when we go small for match up but it would be nice to bring DD off the bench with DSE.
Here is my problem with DD not starting, like I stated before, who is our number one defender? Who is the guy who is going to take there number 1 perimeter guy and shut them down like CR? DD needs to be out there to do that. Plus 3 point shooting is huge in college basketball, because 3 guards usually play, and we need 3 perimeter threats on the court. Even teams that play a SF, usually have one that has a good perimeter skill set.

No I don't believe TB is a 3 in college basketball at this point. His outside jumper and ball handling skills were not yet good enough as of last season to be a 3 IMO, typically a guard spot in college basketball. Not a knock on him, that's just the type of player he is, and he is amazing at what he does. I feel DD has to be starting to have the most effective lineup. I think people forget how good he is.

I hope MO is good enough to start too, but I don't want to put that pressure on him right away. I feel TB should start too, but if you want 2 posts in the lineup, I think TB has to come out because I just don't feel he is a 3 skills set wise yet. I agree about WE being a 4, but I think that is what we have to do with current personnel.

Minute distribution at this point without final scholarship filled IMO:

    SM(25)/DSE(15)
    DD(25)/JE(10)/DSE(5)
    AW(25)/MK(8 )/WL(7)
    TB(25)/JP(10)/WE(5)
    WE(15)/MO(20)/AT(5)

BUfan14 We are better then last year but not a bunch with your lineup. I believe you are greatly mistaken about TB not being able to play the 3. He is made for that position and his defense would be stellar. Now he can guard guys his height! The outside game can come from AW and SM! I love DD's game but he'll be great coming off the bench. Again my lineup is if MO can start!

I will agree more with your lineup IF TB can improve his outside shot and his ballhandling this offseason. Also while he definitely has the ability and athleticism to be a tremendous perimeter defender, I thought he was a little raw on his defensive principles and footwork at times last year.

Now TB has unlimited potential, and if he keeps his head on straight and works hard at his defense, along with fine tuning his outside shot and ball handling he could be a perfect 3 no doubt. I don't think he was quite there last year, but I guess we will have to see this year. He was most improved this year, and he could do it again, and sophomore to junior year is typically a big jump.

I still feel my lineup would be fine, because we would have the best players in when needed including DD, and we could go big like I have with JP and WE at the 4 at times when we need that and put TB at the 3.

Either way at the end of games, I'm sure the hot hands will be in with all the depth we have and that is what counts. I think we can both agree, all that depth no matter how it is arranged looks very exciting! I'm sure JL will figure it out and do what's best.

Hard to go to more pressing on defense if BU doesn't have a long, athletic, dominant defensive center who can alter short jump shots or keep opponents from taking it to the rack if the press is broken. BU still needs to find a center that can guard opponents without help.

BU hasnt had that kind of post player since POB/ZA...Hopefully JP and MO can provide that for BU in the future if AT doesn't develop in his last two years. Don't know if WE is strong enough, or long enough, to fill that role for BU if they want to go to a smaller line up and press/trap more.

In the absence of getting an NBA bound shooter, improved interior defense and rebounding by bigs would go a long way to helping BU move from 4th to 1st in the Valley. Hopefully new players, more experienced players, and better coaching can help BU's inside game.

I just realized Kyle Weems was redshirted his 1st year......this makes me more optimistic about JP.
