  • The Skinny on the Press Conference

Nothing sinister...just a press conference with Coach Jim Les and Taylor Brown regarding tomorrows game with Loyola.

Here is the BUBraves.com release and a link to the press conference video...you can watch yourself..
PEORIA, Ill. -- Out of action for more than week while completing Fall semester final exams, the Bradley men's basketball team will return to action Wednesday night by hosting in-state rival Loyola-Chicago in a 7:05 p.m. tip at Carver Arena. Wednesday's game will be preceded by the first Braves Club Gameday Luncheon of the year at the Michel Student Center.

but it's just something to get the press to report more on the game and maybe will help boost attendance tomorrow...
so nothing to fear...no injury reports!

the video is 15 min long and discusses the upcoming opponents...

DSE could have a broken leg and it wouldn't be discussed prior to the game, so that tells us nothing.

OK so what is the truth now with DSE and the Das Boot!

still laughing at Das Boot. Go BU!! And for those watching online tomorrow, I highly recommend the horizonleague feed as it is far superior to the garbage we're accustomed to at bubravestv and I believe it's still free.

Well, the best part of the presser is JL talking about going to Atlanta with Dick Versace to see Mike Williams in the hospital. Very sad but also nice to hear what JL had to say.

Why would you say that...a "flying saucer sighting"...becuase YOU didn't see it....becuase YOU didn't report it? Flying saucer reports means somebody saw something that REALLY wasn't real.

It simple... DSE was SEEN, actually SEEN at the ortho docs office wearing a boot. How much clearer do I have to make it?

As I stated, could mean something...could be totally precautionary. I'm not advising people HOW to react or HOW to feel about it. I.E., don't shoot the messenger.

Its a simple first hand report from a good source...of course the last time I had to defend my completely credible info from a very reliable source the post got pulled so doubt away becuase someone else reported some info and maybe you can get this one yanked also.

DRU - don't let Tornado's comments get to you.

I take your comments as what they are - and I believe you. I don't think you are a liar or you have bad info.

I am worried. But I am not gonna jump to any conclusions. Right now - I take it as "precautionary" and I hope that is correct. If we learn it is more severe later (like at game time) and he will be out for "x" amount of time... then I will deal with it then.

and the sky may fall today!!!!

PS-- a walking boot or splint is virtually never the treatment for a serious injury...
If DSE broke a bone or had somthing really serious, he'd be in a cast or on crutches or in the hospital!
I'm not saying he will play tonight, maybe not...but I doubt we're dealing with another Andrew Warren-type injury

Stress fractures are much worse for an athlete than just about anything short of a torn ligament considering they can end a season and often reoccur in the future. They are treated by boot. I am by no means suggesting that is the case here.
