That's great news! What's BU Basketball without its signature radio call. Snell had big shoes to fill after old Mort passed on....great job!
Congrats Dave I have been a BU basketball fan since the late 50's and when I think of BU basketball I think of you and Mort. A well deserved honor. Hope to see you for breakfast on Friday mornings sometime soon.
When I was younger (much) and I heard Dave after he first started announcing BU games I thought "No way this guy stays with BU in Peoria. He's just too good. He'll end up on a national network someday."
Well, he didn't leave BU and Peoria and I'm thankful for that! Dave has brought a lot of excitement and helped to create and enhance a lot of memories for many fans over the years. Congratulations, and thank you!
Hey Dave, you are one of my all time favorite announcers which is a very prestigious list with me growing up in the Chicago area. You would not believe what I did to hear you call a Bradley game, aluminum foil attached to the antenna, turning the radio sideways and upside down, holding it against a glass patio door, many things, and if the weather conditions were right it came through fairly clear. Maybe I needed a more powerful radio back then, now I'm happy with the computer. But anyway, I've listened to almost every game you've called. Thanks, there have been many very exciting ones!
