According to an article in Wednesday's Peoria Journal Star, the name for the new Peoria ABA team will be the Peoria Kings.
The name was the result of a naming rights agreement with Brewer's Distributing for a reported $10,000 fee.

Normally I would agree with you, however, with Serg as the coach I'm obliged to at least check them out. I'd really like to know how many season tickets they sell. I'm guessing like 7?

In ABA news....
the Peoria Kings start their training camp this Friday, their opening game isn't until Nov. 4.

Several of the ABA teams are already playing preseason games.

One of the teams has a very unique nickname.

Last night the Houston UNDERTAKERS beat a Houston area "All Star" team 177-110!!!!!
Leading scorer was Jai Praidia with 27 points and 13 rebounds.

That's right, they scored 177 points.
The team's coach stated,
"Coach Carr stated that everyone on his 12 man roster scored at least 15 points"

Hmmm.....let's see....if 12 guys score 15 points each (12x15= 180), then how come they only put 177 points on the board?


This was the Undertakers' fifth preseason game at home so far, and the owners have decided NOT TO CHARGE for any of the games thus far.

The ABA Peoria Kings had their training camp oin Saturday, and I can't find a bit of coverage on it.
Anyone know who was kept on the roster.
