The WSU vs UMKC game is not in Wichita. It's in KC.

Wisconsin just went to play a true road game at Wisconsin-Green Bay and lost.

THAT is why you're not supposed to do that.

Baloney! THAT is how you get your team ready for the conference wars. Weber and Henson are chickensh*ts. To quote Purdue coach Matt Painter: "It just makes sense to play in-state schools," Painter said. "They have the traditional rivalry and they have name recognition for fans, for Ball State fans, for Indiana State fans, for Valparaiso fans, for Evansville fans. Those are all teams we've played and we've gone on the road and played them, which is good for all parties."

The MVC went 3-1 last night-

Indiana State lost at home to Ball State, 68-63. Ball State outrebouinded Indiana State 35-22. Iowa transfer Jake Kelly, who some said would dominate in the MVC, continues to struggle. He had 5 points (2-10 shooting), 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in 32 minutes.
The one good thing was the attendance of 7,144.

Wichita State won at UMKC 73-52. Attendance was only 1,744 at UMKC.-

Missouri State remained undefeated (8-0) with a win over Tennessee-Martin 79-51 in a game that was a blowout early. Attendance was a disappointing 5,144 at MSU.-

Southern Illinois won at SEMO 86-65. It was an early blowout, so their starters didn't play much. Tony Freeman broke out with 26 points.
Attendance was 3,550 at SEMO. I wonder how many were SIU fans?.

I thought Jake Kelly could or would be used by Indiana State as a point guard?
He averaged 3.1 assists last year at Iowa, but now so far this season he has 0.87 assists per game, practically non-existent...only 7 all season so far

and for SIU, Anthony Booker had a good game, and filled the stat sheet as they say..
10 pts, 11 rebs, 2 asst, 4 blocks, 4 turnovers, 4 fouls, and one technical foul
he even attempted a 3-pointer - dropping his average from 50% to 33%

Booker's career 3-point average now has risen to 14%.

I suspect Coach Lowery doesn't draw up plays for him to get 3-pointers.

You are absolutely correct with the statement:
"The one good thing was the attendance of 7,144"

Our Sycamores came off a 10 day layoff with no zip, nada & Ball State took it to them early. Did rally to take the lead by +1 with a little over a minute left but committed a stupid foul, sending their best FT shooter to the line and the game ended much like it started..............all Ball State no ISU ?????? Hope to right the ship Sunday hosting Oral Roberts, who should be coming in on a high after beating Missouri last night. This is the 2nd loss that should have been in the win column (Coastal Carolina the other). Going to be an interesting season; probably better than we have experienced recently, but how much better?
