I was under the impression Butler dropped us so they could play in the Jimmy V Classic, but that we were back in next year. I have never heard that confirmed though. If Butler is back in, we need to schedule home games and home games only. I already think we're lacking them this year, and it's been evident by our dreadful play at home this year.Onward and Upward!

I will take "street-smarts, like yours dog, anytime. And yes I have a degree, but I have found street smarts are far more useful..
Being from Buffalo is a good start. Plenty of street smarts to be acquired there.
Good luck Michael Cross.
Great satire, Dog!
Thanks Grassman....and just for the record I WASN'T making fun of anyones "Degree" or the posters involved in the discussion. But my head was spinning and I thougght I'd dumb it all down a bit.

As long as he demands excellence for the basketball program, meaning CONTENDING FOR MVC CROWNS AND NCAA TOURNAMENT BIDS, then I will have no problem with him. If he cares more about graduation rate than success on the field, then we'll have a problem and those nice new facilities won't get paid for.
As a secondary note, I would also like to see a higher standard of success for our other sports as well. Facilities shouldn't be an excuse anymore as to why women's basketball (which appears to be coming around) and volleyball can't be competitive. Baseball should always be competitive, we'll see what Elvis can do with this recruiting class that's coming in.Onward and Upward!

Let's hope this happens here and Elvis puts BU back on the national radar.

Baseball recruiting classes are mainly based on questionaires filled out by coaches. It is not like basketball or football where services track where all the 5 star or blue chip recruits land. The majority of the Northern schools file the forms in the recycle bin and dont respond. Some coaches want the hype some dont but most dont care. It sounds like we turned in a glowing report. Schools from the PAC 10, SEC, and ACC will always dominate recruiting class rankings even if they don't do well during the regular season.
Many of those great coaches became successful at a new school because the new school gave them alot of benefits and resources the previous coach never had. Glasser, not KK, has brought her friend here and gave him resources that the old coach did not have. Sounds like Bradley is now even with the Valley average except for Wichita. Bradley was way behind before she got here so its about time. With the resources and benefits now available to the new coach we will see if he turns into a great coach. For every Coach K, Tubby, and Knight you have a Weis, Sampson, or Zook.
