Like I said I'm not giving up on this team. It has potential but they do not have the luxury of not playing for the whole 40 minutes. JL should be fair game for any poster to go after. He is after all and adult being paid to run a team. Ok on that statement if I do not see market improvement by March and next year's team starts off the same I may change my tune. I just did not like the body language of some of our players or the energy they gave. These guys can hit FTs, but they need to be focus. I'm guessing that there must have been something going on beyond what any of us know, to have distracted these guys, so much.

but we gave up too many easy baskets on back-cuts, missed too many FTs, and when we had a good chance, the long bounces simply went their way not ours..
Taylor Brown was hot and was 6-6 in the first half...then got only 4 shots in the 2nd half...
we need to get the ball to the guys who are hot...
Dick Versace would have figured out how to get Taylor Brown a lot more shots in the 2nd half , how could you not when he was making shots from all over the court, he could have scored 30 last night if we had only got him some screens and gave him the ball.

Poor free throw shooting probably cost us the game last night. Had those free throws been made we could have been up 15+ and crushed their spirit, IMO.

I also expect WCU to win the weak SoCon this year and have a good shot to get an NCAA berth -- quite possibly they'll win the SoCon Tourney as well and get the auto bid.

I agree with both of you guys. Good NCAA-caliber teams win at home against inferior teams.... and there is NO doubt in my mind that WCU is an inferior team from an inferior conference. I've watched SoCon games with friends and always comment how SoCon basketball can't hold a candle to the "real" college basketball I grew up with. Last night made me look bad

He is fair game, but I don't think he's the reason we lost last night. How many times can this guy try to drill tough defense to his players before they get it? I don't know what Les does in practice but I'm sure he does not tolerate a lazy effort from his team. I have a feeling today was not a very pleasant day in practice.

Now like you said SFP, if this trend keeps going into next season, then yes the head coach is the one responsible, fair or not. But let's see where we're at in March, and then I think we can make a fair evaluation of the coaching staff, especially since this is the most talented team we have had in a few years.

I totally agree with you. Why didn't we put SS in there? We would of got some screens for him! God I would love to see SS, WE and TB in the game for period's of times together. Might plug the middle up, loosen up TB's game even more and throw our opponents off from our predicable 3/4 guard, bombs away BS
