  • 67 Bradley - 75 WCU postgame

At the 9:59 mark, WCU called a timeout. After Taylor Brown hits a layup its BU 58 WCU 49

So ... WCU finishes the game on a 26-9 run in the final 9 minutes.

    Wow.

WCU also played out of their minds (hit almost all of their FTs after coming in as a 50% shooting team)

    LET THE MELTDOWN BEGIN
    Go Braves!

It's not a "meltdown" when fans are disgusted by a performance like that. It's a rational reaction.

[sarcasm] Maybe if we scheduled like ISU, we'd avoid these kind of losses [/sarcasm]

Never mind me, I need to take a shot at another school to make myself feel better.

            Timeout BU at 5:46 - BU 58 WCU 64

            Wasn't a math major but I believe that's a 15-0 run.

lol ugly game...anything less than than the effort in the UIUC game is unacceptable. The only time we see that type of effort during games is when we are losing with less than 4 minutes to go. We don't consistently play like that and we let teams back into games that they have no business being in. If it doesn't change this will not be a good season...if it does change some good things could happen, but probably not NCAA good things

              ugly ugly loss

You dont win many games when you...

                1. End the game on the bad side of a 26-9, including at one point a 18-2 run...

                2. Miss 13 free throws...

                3. Give up 3 consecutive full shot clock possessions under 3 minutes without getting a rebound.

Of those, the game was ours if we made our free throws. I am disgusted by our free throw performance, but we lost to a pretty good team. Time to start preparing for the next one... They have ten days to shoot free throws until their arms fall off.

                  Dissapointed yes,

I am not as upset as I thought I would be. In the past we always seem to lose games that keep us from getting on a roll. I don't feel as bad though because I think WCU looked pretty good. I wish we played a little better D on the 3's, but at least they looke to be a decent team. I know we still should not lose at home and the crowd isn't sounding too intimidating so far, but compared to past years it was not a loss to a bad team.

It was, then in usual JL style we used the other timeouts after made 3's instead of during the 15-0 run...

Coaches don't play. Coaches don't shoot. Coaches don't defend. Coaches can call timeouts. Generally the rule is 3 consecutive baskets or 6 straight points...not 7 baskets or 15 points. I'm not even gonna say it because I doubt he would have listened to the guy in the 1st place. Same #$%^ different year.

Time for an ultimatum if you're the AD. NCAA or out the door. Ten up at home and you can't coach your team to the finish line. Happens every year. Enough. I love JL and have always thought he's got "winner" written all over him. But enough is enough. We're gonna miss the tourney again and this game will be a big reason why. It will NOT be enough just to "learn something from this" and become "better people" for "overcoming adversity." I've come very near to having had enough of this, and those who know me know that I have been with JL all the way.

I posted nothing negative when we lost the other two, but this one is symptomatic of something that's been going on too long.

                        I feel sick.

As bad as this loss is, the Illinois win was pretty good, you know.

Things need to be worked on but I'm not in ultimatum mode right now. Neither should any of you be.

OK, I expect a lot of criticism. But my take is that Bradley played fairly well, but WCU played better on the road than any team I've seen in Carver for a couple years. They made big shot after big shot, and they made all their free throws in the 2nd half. They even had every loose ball bouncing right into their hands. This was a team that had shot just 42% from the field, and 33% from three for the year.
This was a good team that will win a lot of games. Let's hope the BU team can learn from this game, and get better. I never felt this team was an at-large caliber team, so now this game removes all doubt.

Thank you....anyone that tries to spin or defend that performance should be laughed off the board.

                              Totally unacceptable.

Now someone tell me how much ISU schedule *****...I need a laugh.
