  • Tonight (Dec 6) on Travel Channel

At 9:00 p.m. Central, there is an episode of "Meet the Natives: USA", where tribesmen from the South Pacific travel to the USA to get introduced to its culture. This particular episode is in Peoria.

The preview of the episode showed a tribesman waving a towel and cheering at a Bradley game. I think I will have to check this episode out.

I heard the man who was the host family for the 5 Tanna tribesmen, from the South Pacific island of Tanna, part of the island country of Vanuatu, on the radio with Greg and Dan on WMBD early in the week. He said they took them to a Bradley game (Maybe the Lewis game, or possibly the Idaho State game?) and he said they sat in the student section. I don't remember seeing them there, does anyone?
I am anxious to watch this.

Here is info about this Travel Channel series

And here is info about the episode at 9:00 pm tonight about their trip to Peoria.

    And the 5 Tanna tribesmen-

I do remember this, they got students to go and stand and cheer with them, myself included, and then had to have us sign release forms to be in the movie. I did get meet the guys that were focused on in the film, they seemed pretty cool. I think there may be a few other posters here that would remember what game that was, I can't recall it right now.

Did you teach the tribesmen how to do the B*R*A*D*LEY cheer?

I was in town for this game and sitting in the student section. I was trying to figure the whole thing out myself at the time, so it's nice to finally get closure.

                    Quote of the episode:

The object of the game (football) seems to be death.

By the way, the game was last year against E. Tennessee State... a 13 point win. Glad the game was a W

That's makes a little more sense now. It looked like a Theron Wilson dunk at the end of the Bradley segment. The snow threw me off, also.
