whatever.......geez....did I say anything like that?....he said it slipped away...if BU had lost that game Reynolds would have said the same thing since BU had the lead for most of it.
Let's just be overly sensitive to every little thing

Just another case of fandom double standards. Lefty, no one is saying that every time there is an upset, it needs to be printed that the other team is better. Quit acting like it. And when you make statements like that, you're going to get responses like you got. Don't get upset when someone returns a comment in similar fashion as you originally postured.
It's statements in this fashion that require Pro-JL guys like Tornado to take a defensive stance.

here's the thing...I don't take every thing that's written and try work it around to sound like it's a slam toward BU. Like I said if BU lost I would expect DR would say we let one slip away too...
I don't get your double standard comment either and I'm not against anybody
Where in the world did anything I said that requires T to take a defensive stance....I just said I didn't think the article was that big a deal or a slam to BU...

I said you making gross generalizations like and combative statements like "so every team that gets upset has to write that the other team was the better team?" is what causes people to react the way the do. I didn't say you made Tornado take a defensive position. I said, and I quote, "It's statements in this fashion that require Pro-JL guys like Tornado to take a defensive stance."

here's the thing....you responded to my response of Shaun...he thought they should write that Bradley was the better team....how many sportswriter will write it that way? The writer wrote that Illinois let the game slip away.....I don't have a problem with it that's all.If he would have wrote the BU was the better team I wouldn't have cared either......
And regarding the gross generalization...I knew the answer to it before I asked. ..It just seems because it's a BU board we sometimes lack objectivity
My opinion is that more is made out of this article than is really there...that's all.

Had BU lost then they could have said how they let this game slip away because Bradley had the lead for most of the game, in fact BU let the last game these teams played get away from them as they should have won that game in Hoffman estates, these are the main reasons why illinois chooses not to play BU because they are afraid of the results, funny how all of a sudden the excuses keep getting weaker. Just admit Bradley was the better team on the floor that night, end of story.

Simple explanation as to why Illinois lost to Bradley.......Bradley scored more points than Illinois did during the game.
For one night, for one game, BU was the better team than Illinois, period.
Nothing else can be inferred from the game. Speculating on why Illinois didn't score more points than BU that night is just speculation, and, reflects a writer's personal bias.
Everyone who saw the game live, on tv, on PC/DVD is free to decide if BU was the better team that night because of BU's players, their coaching, their execution, their desire, or, Illinois' "fatigue", over looking the game, their stupor from letting Utah beat them, other reasons ad naseum
Ignore the Major/Mid Major BS. In the era of reduced rosters, availability of players from around the world, talent leaving big colleges early for the NBA, this designation can not automatically infer talent/ability between teams anymore.
BU players outplayed their Illini counterparts for most of the game and then down the stretch. To suggest any external reason for this does a disservice to the BU players who rose to the occassion. Illini players' tears after the game suggested BU beat UI, not that UI lost the game...
At the end of the season, there can be more reflection as to which team could beat the other in a rematch...or better yet a rematch in the NCAA's....BUilding for the Future

MM said there should be an investigation ifthe Illin don't win by 25.....if Illinois played like they did the second half of clemson they would have won both...they didn't....they fell asleep, played awful, etc....doesn't make any difference. They didn't play well enough to beat Utah or BU in Vegas"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
