    This jerk owes his livelihood to Dwayde. Without him, crean had a grand total of 1 ncaa victory in five years at kmartquette. He scheduled soft in Milwaukee and continues to do so at indiana. What a piece of work!!

      now Crean tweets this...
      "We need to continue to recruit actively and find that impact guy that can
      come in here and help this club"
      "I??™m not sure my staff understands that the way it has to be. We have to
      continue to upgrade our team constantly.???

      then he says this in a press meeting about his own guys...his own hand-picked players/recruits
      "They aren??™t a group of guys that I look out there and think ???Wow, they??™ve
      got some grit,??™??? Crean said. ???We??™ve got to develop it, we??™ve got to develop it
      over time, we??™ve got to coach it every day in practice, and frankly we have
      to continue to recruit it.???

      so I guess after the latest whuppin' last night at the hands of the Buckeyes,
      ..this all means he's gonna Crean more players from the current roaster and go hard after transfers, jucos, and just about anyone who can play!

            another desperate, pleading - almost blatantly pandering tweet...trying to get anyone interested in coming to IU...

            "If you are good enough you will play right away here."

            in other words....if you're any good, we have a starting spot for you and we'll free up a ride instantly!

            for all we know, he might even be aiming this tweet at kids who are already verballed or maybe even already AT other schools.

              I witnessed the WSU/Alcorn St game first hand. Alcorn is as bad as advertised. No fundamentals, no team work, no coaching. Why this team was on WSU's schedule I haven't a clue.

                  Update heading into the weekend of games.

                  Couple comments:
                  1) North Dakota picks up their 1st win against a Div1 team - and they did it on the road (at Utah Valley St).
                  2) NCCU won tonight over a NonD1 in a tourney they are hosting with nothing but Non D1's. They beat Tennessee Temple. Tomorrow, they play a team called (believe it or not) The Apprentice School. Also, the tourney is called the BC Powder Classic, maybe as in Powder Puff Creampuffs. Actually, BC Powder is for Pain Relief - so maybe the 2 Powder Puff Creampuffs do just that and relieve a little pain for the Eagles.

                  Completely Winless:

                  Alcorn St 0-16 {1/16 at Miss Valley St}
                  Bryant 0-17 {1/16 Quinnipiac}

                  Winless vs Division 1:

                  NCCU 0-15 (3-15) {1/16 nonD1}
                  UT-Martin 0-13 (2-13) {1/16 Jacksonville St}

                      Well, to update this.... NCCU beat Savannah St yesterday to capture their first win over a D1. Now the only teams left without a win over a D1 are the completely winless.

                      Completely Winless:

                      Alcorn St 0-23 {2/8 at Grambling}
                      Bryant 0-24 {2/11 Rt Morris}

                      Best chances-
                      Alcorn St hosts Miss Valley St on 2/13 and Southern U on 2/27.
                      Bryant hosts St Francis (Pa) on 2/13.

                        Pardon me for intruding on your thread Macabre Mob, but an update to the Winless-

                        The Alcorn State Braves finally won a game last night with a thrilling 55-54 win over Mississippi Valley State. I wonder if the fans (if there were any) rushed the court?-

                        Before tonight, there were two winless teams in college basketball. Now there is one.A tip of the cap is owed to Alcorn State, which entered the night 0-24 and notched its first win of the season tonight, a no-doubt thrilling 55-54 win over Mississippi Valley State.

                        Alcorn State is now 1-23!

                        The only remaining winless team in Division I is Bryant University (0-26).

                          Bryant plays 4-23 Wagner next (but it's on the road). That may be their only chance to win this season. Hope it's on ESPN

                            Bryant pulled it out with a 53-51 win at Wagner.

                            Every D1 team now has a win against a D1 opponent.
