Big Ten about to win its first ever Big Ten/ACC Challange!
Big Ten about to win its first ever Big Ten/ACC Challange!
As soon as Ohio St wraps up their game against Florida St, the Big Ten can claim bragging rights in the Big Ten/ACC Challange for the first time ever! Thanks to the sensational comeback by the Illini and a Wisconsin win over the "mighty" Coach K, good karma was on our side tonight!
I'll eat crow right now! I thought that Duke would pull it out but Wisky played a great game.
Coach K is a great coach, as demonstrated recently by his Olympic gold medal. But his championship years at Duke seem to be a distant memory for now. Losing tonight will not disqualify him for a deep run in this year's NCAA tournament, but he hasn't done a lot lately in the postseason, so this loss does not shock me.
I don't think the B10 is ever in my camp... so I don't consider them to be on our side.
But congrats to the B10, long overdue. It IS a good conference and to be dominated for 11 seasons by the ACC didn't show how good the teams were.
Well that's true in a way, but I despise the ACC far more than the Big Ten. Plus there are a couple of local teams I root for in the Big Ten so they are not all bad. I hate them quite a bit though when they get more tournament bids than they deserve, so that might not change this year.
But of course this year we will root for Illinois to win as much as possible to help pad our RPI.

Can you really coach that Olympic team? I feel if you put Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and every other great player from the US on a court, mix that with a bad taste in their mouth from not getting the gold 4 years ago......a 5 year old could "coach" them
and also, don't worry...Duke will still get a 5 or up seed this year...not by talent but because they are Duke

Well said sir...well said
Good for the B10, it's about time. Duke will get at least a 5 seed because at season's end they will probably have deserved it.
