I think doublejay AND everyone else IS waiting to see what the courts decide ...they have no choice.

Whats going on is a simple debate which will not effect the case or what happens one way or another.

Its just like the debates we have over starting lineups or players playing time....."lets leave THAT decision to the coach and his staff since none of us are coaches or close to the situation".....like whatever we discuss, opine about or scream for has ANY bearing what-so-ever on what will eventually take place.

So carry on guys with your Wilkins debate....at least for me....I love a good healthy debate/discussion.

GTD....don't you think if we all "waited" for things to play out we wouldn't have this board and all the fun that goes along with it. Seriously......whats wrong with a nice open discussion/debate.

I mean.....lets just wait until the season is over and then we'll all get together for one final recap. BORING.

Of course we'd all just opine about what JL SHOULD have done that year then someone would tell us "your NO coach, leave that stuff to JL and staff.....

I think you should ask Mob first... He brought it up first and I was agreeing. Anyway, who said this board was fun???

I've heard Iowa State is picking up its interest in Wilkins.

Alright, so what is the timeline for the earliest we can get JW to sign his LOI with Bradley?

Nobody can sign until the next allowable signing period.
That would be next April 14, 2010 throught May 19,2010

Wouldn't that correspond with the dates he will be signing with _____________? He said he was going to wait until then, which is his option, but I don't remember him making any remarks such as "I'm still firmly committed to going to Bradley".

                    Huh?

Here is that last report on what John Wilkins has said-

                    Read the last paragraph-
"Because of the pending lawsuit, Wilkins chose not to sign a National Letter of Intent with the Braves. But he has reiterated his intent to come to BU, hoping to enroll next summer once he receives his associate's degree from SCC."

My bad. I thought he also said he is exploring other options or something to that effect.

I'm taking the glass is 1/2 full approach with this but then again since we have no control I'm not sweating it anymore. I hope he knows how much we want him to be a Brave but if decides to go elsewhere that will be his problem. I for one though have not heard anything from the young man that would indicate that he would go against his promise earlier. I bet he'llbe in Peoria next year with his brother at his side with WE and his sibling.

                          Update from Dave Reynolds...

Now lets all dissect this update, especially the last line (???John??™s doing fine,??? Carroll said. ???The best thing he can do is keep his grades up and graduate (in May) so he can have his Division I eligibility.???) and that it doesn't mention "Division I eligibility so he can go to Bradley..."

Glad to see DR is following up though... and finding out when it went to the judge.

I don't really read anything into this at all.

Read into it???? Nothing there really except that JW is practicing with the team and he seems to be on track.

yeah-- but a simple statement as innocuous as "John Wilkins woke up this morning"
is often followed by panic because he didn't say he was signing a LOI...
