The NIU game is listed as being shown on Channelsurfing.net... They have removed programs before it starts in the past- but as of now, it is there for viewing...

What???!! The Tulsa game in particular. Wow! A little tournament hangover by OK St. for sure.

Now W. Carolina comes to Peoria next. Everyone beating Wofford and OK St. won't help our RPI, but they should each get a lot of wins before all is said and done.

Oklahoma St. loses to Tulsa 86-65...... Not good.

Western Carolina (6-1) BEATS Wofford (4-4) 72-67 Watch out Braves. Don't sleep on WCU. WCU is a veteran team; I believe they return all 5 starters.

Wouldnt a game between two of our non-con opponents essentially net out to no effect on RPI?

Not quite. It essentially adds 1 loss and 1 win to our SoS, making our SoS gravitate ever slowly towards .500 (no matter which side of .500 we're on). Since our SoS will wind up above .500, it hurts our SoS and therefore our RPI to have this situation. But it's almost negligible.

That's what I just commented on the other WCU thread. These are the type of teams we played in the CI.com tourney last year, and these types of teams are very capable of beating great teams. WCU could just be that #14 or #15 seed in the NCAA Tournament that can pull off an upset. So we need to play a complete game on both sides of the ball to beat teams like this, even at home.

You betcha! Come selection time it could come down to BU versus WCU, Wofford, Idaho St, or NIU. WCU is another MUST win game.

According to the NIU announcers on Channelsurfing BU is much better than UNI (who also beat NIU). They think our guys will run circles around UNI's big guys..... I hope they're right!

Yeah it also has some bizarre minute affect on SOS of Opponents right? PLus there's some affect of home v. road in the RPI. THe math is stupidly convoluted.

What I was trying to get at though is that when our opponents play it doesn't matter which one wins, the affect will be the same.... Right? At least as far as straight SOS is concerned. I think. Do I sound confident?

Tulsa is the real deal...should be an NCAA team for sure this season. I was shocked they lost at MSU the other night...actually got blown out, but made it respectable late. Don't know if MSU is that good or if TU was looking ahead to OSU or a combination of both. There were a ton of OSU fans at the game tonight, but they were a non-factor as TU took them out of the game very early.
