  • Things to look for against NIU

Lets hope there's no let down against NIU after the U of I win...here are some things I'll be looking for:

    1. Will that huge 3 pt shot against Illinois be the confidence builder AW needs to step up and be the offensive leader we all thought he'd be this year? Looking for a big game from him.
    2. Can Will Egolf be a consistent rebounder? Looking for >5 RBs against Northern.
    3. Looking for double digits from TB...can he be that consistent low post / mid-range scorer we've so desperately needed?

The schedule is set up for us to make a nice little run here if we don't let down. It'd be nice to roll into Drake later in December on a win streak!

I've read several posts where a couple of posters call this a "trap game". I have to admit that this is the first time I've ever heard the term 'trap game' and I've been around awhile.

All I know is if you're a competitive player in any sport you want to play hard and win every game you play in, which I'm sure NIU will be doing too.

Win or lose, I just don't want to hear it was a 'trap game'. Go Braves!

FWIW, JL said this is a trap game on his radio show this am.. (He also mentioned that the game after ISU is also a "trap game")

That's not what I want to hear from my coach, maybe trying to motivate the players who don't need motivating, maybe looking for an excuse this early, sad and

Bruce tried to motivate his players saying Bradley was better than Utah. The players reportedly rolled their eyes, and the rest is history

I just don't want to hear an excuse from our Coach that a loss we might have is a 'trap game'. Our players play hard in every game. The Illini players were playing hard, we were just the better team that night

This is a perfect example of a trap game. I'm not sure how the players can be up for this after the game with Illinois and the win. That is just human nature. It would be like you went on vacation and scored with a Victoria Secret model (the stars were aligned) and now a weel later you are heading to the local bar to see what action can be had. It just is not going to be the same.

If they're not up for this game after the Illinois game, then we're in trouble.

How do you sign up for that vacation trip

I think I would consider this a trap game if the Iowa State game was the one following NIU. Since it is Western Carolina, it's hard to believe that the players are looking past the Huskies to the Catamounts. I think the worry would be more of a hangover effect than anything.

Bradley needs to get ready for NIU. It'll be tough when people want to pat you on the back after beating the Illini.

I would think after beating Illinois the team would be sky high against another in state school and wouldn't want N. Illinois to brag that they beat the #1 team in Illinois.

I for one, don't care who ISU schedules even though I would like to see them lose every game. The Braves play them twice, maybe 3 times. Win those and we have bragging rights this season.
