  • I got yer signature win riiiight heeeere!

Some positives to take away from today's game:

    1. For those (including myself) who've been critical of BUs point game...ask Dmitri McAmey and DJ Richardson about BU point guards' defense!
    2. Will Egolf grew up today...we saw flashes of this in Florida before the injury...welcome back!
    3. Any doubt that TB is a Big 10 caliber player? Probably don't need all the three point attempts, but the Illini struggled to match up with him.
    4. BU's Frosh are fearless! They didn't have great games, but they don't play scared like most frosh. The Illini had to account for them (MK and DSE).
    5.SM's leadership was stellar...stellar!

After this game, anyone scared of CU? UNI? ISU?

this was a fine team win with everyone contributing......
but my boy Sammy put the team on his back at times and carried us and I dare anyone to rip Eddren for his ball handling after this..

This was Egolf's career game.... to date

Warren showed a lot of what we have been hoping for since 2 years ago.

      The future looks bright!

I agree and was actually going to post after the FIRST half that was pleasantly surprised with how EM was handling himself and the ball. He was creating some space and finding open guys and just creating a little bit of havoc. And he didn't take any bad shots...so he was a + tonight. However, I think most can still agree that Sammy is the guy you want out on the court at the beginning and END of any game.

Wasn't it about Game 6 last year that Will broke out? I hope this is a sign of things to come

This was a great win, I thought we were the best team on the floor tonight and had the lead most of the game, Will Egolf is a lot better player then most people realize we just need to get him the ball more often, when Taylor and Will were in the game together Illinois was not getting 2nd chance points. Calling offensive plays has always been a strong point for coach Les and it was big down the stretch tonight, still have concerns about substituions and when they are made but he did have the right guys on the floor down the stretch of the game. I think this BU team showed tonight that it is very talented and just needs to come out and play each and every game with the intensity it had in this game .

Playing with heart and intensity for 40 minutes can never be over stated. Well done guys! AW had the biggest shot! That 3 getting us that 2 point lead was probably the biggest shot in thegame followed by the SM free throws.

AW I'm proud of the way you responded!

I was sitting white-knuckled, waiting for the gamecast to refresh on Sportsline... I wish I could have seen the game, but the numbers are very impressive for our front court. I like the Will Egolf/Taylor Brown combination.

The only thing then upsetting Goliath Illinois is a season sweep of isWHO.

                  Go Braves!!!

Will Egolf is demonstrating what a lot of people on this board had been stating since he was injured last year! Will is a difference maker for us!!!

                          This is a fantasitc win.

But do not let this be the high light of our season. Stay consistant for 40 minutes, but very importantly get the win out of the system and focus on NIU. We must sweep the next games leading up to Iowa State. If we do that Iowa State, could be even bigger with it being on their home floor, a win then the Illinois game.

But isnt it always sweet to see and read the cocky Illini fans make excuse after excuse for losing a game. They have a real hard time with losing with dignity and class.
