SM was the only threat we had outside of TB. He was clutch as always and has only solidified his spot on this team in my mind....not that it was in any danger.

Good offensive game from TB with 21 points. Too many missed layups. AW made his first shot and missed his last 7. CR made 0 shots and was 5 for 10 from FT line. 40% from the field, 58% from FT line, 10 to 15 assist to tournover ratio normally means you get beat by double digits. I hope we have a better effort tomorrow.

I've grown really tired of the offense BU runs. The bigs screening at the top of the key and rolling to the basket. Either they're never open or they don't throw the ball to them. It invites all of the illegal screens that get called on BU and just seems to cause a lot of dribbling. The ball movement has been lacking. One man's opinion.

We get called for the most moving screens then any other team, your right in that we only use our bigs to screen which in turn keeps them from setting a good post down low, hard for our center to score much when he is out of position most of the game.

Warren needs to toughen up if he expects to play against the big boys. Poor fundamentals leads to bad games which in turn leads to losses, this team has potential but right now I wonder if we will see the players that perform the best on the court, Sam M. probably should not have played tonight because of his ankle injury, he appeared to be favoring it most of the night.
I really feel sorry for EM. He is really stuggling. He can't make a basket if his life depended on it. I feel that the coaches are making his lack of self confidence even worse by playing him so many minutes . When he is on the floor we are actually giving up points. I just don't understand the coaching decision to play EM as many minutes as he does. I am at a loss!

                Bu 57-ou 68

Once again, BU plays beneath its talent level. When in the world are our coaches going to be able to teach WE how to set a good LEGAL pick? This isn't rocket science---It's just good teaching or the lack thereof.

What really concerns me is if this apparent inability to teach fundamentals is also occuring in other areas such as rebounding and defense.

Again, AW disappeared and has shown that he cannot seem to elevate his game to a consisntly good level---Good game---bad game ---good game---bad game.

Nothing different from EM. Same ol - same ol

Looks like 6th in th valley is about right.

Again, our only real plus is TB but he cannot carry this team on his back all year.

We may be in for another disappointing season---I hope not but it now looks very possible.

You need to be following a Pro team if that's your attitude. They can throw $ at the problem to fix it. This is college.

How many times in the last 40 years have we. We are BU. We are what we are.

I can agree with this statement. This offense just is not effective for a poor shooting team (which we have been the last two years).

What would you suggest? Benching him to totally shatter his confidence.

Just a couple of points here...

I have not liked our substitution patterns this year.

                    DSE has earned more pt...

I would rather play a team like OSU and learn from the experience than play a lower level team and get an easy win.

As a matter of fact I didn't know what you meant. I wasn't taking a shot at you I was merely stating that I think they had a younger team when you stated they seemed to be the men (i.e. older).

We have 3 sophomores that are the age of Juniors (TB, WE, AT)
We have a junior the age of a senior (AW)
We have a 6th year senior
One of our juniors has experience like he's a senior and then some (SM)
Another sophomore started much of his freshmen season (EM)

Overall I was making the point that I think we have a very experienced team and were the older team. In no way was I taking a shot at you or being obtuse.

Understood. I didn't expect it to be taken so literally. From my vanatage point it was obvious that OSU's younger players were "men" compared to our older players. You almost always notice this difference between the BCS schools and teams like BU. (I should not have resorted to name calling.... Sorry for that)

I wouldn't worry about shattering his confidence. He has two more years to prove he is capable of playing Division 1 basketball. IMO, right now he doesn't deserve the playing time he is getting. Of course, most of the team is a disappointment so far, but there is a long season ahead of us and let's hope things change for the better.

Not a good start to our Vegas trip. I, too, would like to see a more creative offense and yes, work on setting legal screens. Once the refs see that it becomes an easy call for them.

EM has got to sit right now. Not helping, get him back home against some weaker foes and build confidence. We still have a chance to redeem ourselves in the next round. Would love to see Utah take it the whinillini.

CU has been having their problems also early on this season. No need to wave the white flag yet.

The most important thing for the offense to run efficiently is a good point guard, ours is struggling and you cannot keep doing what you are doing or you will keep getting what you are getting.
