despite the low game scores, Bradley still has 3 players among the top 15 leaders in scoring in the Valley
...and nowhere to be found in that top 15 are the two Big Ten transfers who were supposed to dominate.
I just want to add my 2 cents in this thread. I was really impressed with Milos last night, he came out and hit his first three shots and looked good doing so, the first one looked like a NBA 3 and he shot it with ease. In one of the PJS articles today JL says he wants him to shoot the ball and be a big part of the rotation this season. This was the first I've seen him play any extended minutes. I just think it's a good sign that we may have a really good player in Milos.
Keeping my fingers crossed for the Vegas games. And to everyone, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
ahem....someone disagrees with you and criticizes Milos kinda harshly for that foul...
...did you not read it? "...Knezevic getting whistled for a foul playing defense in the post. Simple fact of the foul, which drew silly boos from the crowd, was the 6-foot-8 freshman initiated contact in an aggressive manner, rather than physically holding his ground to absorb the hit."
You must be one of the people he calls "silly" for objecting to that foul?
yep.. I saw the play... I had a great view of that play as my seats were on that side of the court. Milos did NOT initiate the contact. There was contact from BOTH players. Attention KW.... The Presbyterian player initiated the contact and as what usually happens, the referee's saw the person reacting to the contact. ---had Milos simply flopped, he probably would have gotten the call---- Overall, I thought the referee's did a good job last night.
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
Nine guys played at least ten minutes. I don't see that happening again. It looked like the coaching staff treated this like an exhibition. That's my opinion.
Any reason Sam Singh didn't play (sorry if it has already been posted)?
3 rebounds, a steal, 4 assists, and just 1 turnover in only 19 minutes/game.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
So, he's not an offensive threat. Neither are Thompson or Singh, so maybe we should just play Egolf 40 minutes every game? My point is, McCain at least does other things to contribute. He has played 76 minutes of his second season here and i'm willing to applaud the things he does bring to the team and accept his early-season offensive slump as just that! JC averaged less than 5 points his entire 2nd season. I'm glad we didn't give up on him at that point.

Yeah, I'd like a few more points out of him, but as long as he's contributing in other ways, I'm okay with that. The BU box score has him down for 6 assists and 1 turnover in 16 minutes. Sam Maniscalco had 5 assists and 2 turnovers in (plus only 6 points) in 28 minutes.
Here's hoping DSE pushes Eddren to improve a bit more on the scoring end.
Don't forget EM's defense guys... He looked pretty good on D last night!

KW puts down the crowd. In other news, water is wet.
What do you with EM? He can't throw a rock in the ocean let alone make a wide open 3.
Hopefully his playing time will be scaled back accordingly...
He's a nice guy to have in the rotation to play 10 or 15 minutes a game to handle the ball and provide a little boost on the defensive end of things...but until he shows the ability to either hit a jump shot or be a threat to drive and finish, he really can't be playing major minutes if we want to be successful as a team...
Yeah...kinda like the "local rag". Thicken the skin and blow it off.
I can do that, until the next time someone posts about the non participation of the Bradley crowd.
For a change I actually agreed with most of KW's column today.
