Haven't heard Coach Les yet but I bet he says the same thing some others are saying...its NOT so much the winning margin its the lack of consistent and sound fundamental play for close or closer to 40 minutes.
BU just doesn't have that......yet?
Did you see coach on the sideline....? Did he look pleased with what was going on ? NOPE....in fact he was mad as heck.
Nice to win...saw some positives but THAT effort...those poor fundamentals that sloppy play gets you 2 L's in Vegas and another 5th, 6th Valley finish with NO NIT or NO NCAA and another EIEIO tourney.
I want better...so do alot of BU fans.
GO BU.......

Thatta way Chico! You tell em!???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

That's my point, no I didn't notice them last night, nor Sunday night much at all. That's the way it should be. I thought they did a very good job both games. When you don't notice officials much, it usually means they called the game fairly, evenly, and weren't callling too many fouls/violations.
The officials last night were: Jeff Nichols, Jeff Wagner, Alvin Cox. On Sunday they were: Steve Coleman, Dan Stryffeler, Louie Andrakakos.
Don't recognize the names? It's because they were assigned by the tournament people, and are not officials who usually do Bradley or MVC games. What a refreshing change to get officials who don't feel they need to become the main attraction and dominate a game with their whistles like the usual MVC ref."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

So a few on here have said "if we were playing a better team our intensity would have been better"... that folks is one big huge load of you know what. Every game and every player who steps on that court better play with high intensity for every single minute.
I do not care who is wearing the other uniform, you play hard, you play smart and you dont let up period. Intensity is not something you can just turn on and off, but I guess others here think that is it acceptable to play less hard because the uniform says Presbiterian.
I guarantee you Jim Les does not accept less intensity just because of who we play. Great teams bring a killer instinct, play hard all game long and never give less then full effort. If we continue to "play to our competition" then this team will NEVER be great.
This was not a team that should been within single digits under 3 minutes to play.

71-58
I can't believe we only beat this team by 13- We are sad- 6th place finish in MVC is probably too high!
Is Les still the coach? We need more local kids I tell you...
Who made this schedule out?
Why are Sam Man and Edge on court at same time...
YADA YADA YADA people- relax....
IMO- There is a big difference in "fans being fans" and people being obsessive
We are 3-1 and that is a good start.. Is there work to done- surely- But come on folks... off the ledges....???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

so I don't think this is in anyway due to improvement in refs...just the types of defense the opponent has chosen to play.

Sloppy game w/ little intensity or focus and too many mental errors/mistakes, but a couple of very good thigs too.
First the bad--- I know it's tough to get motivated and stay focused against a team like PC. Team intensity simply was not there. Very good teams and players play hard ALL THE TIME regardless of the opponent. We havn't learned to do this yet.
Poor defense---Way too many poorly guarded 3s and we couldn't stop their big guy.
Too many mental errors--- Two free throw lane violations and lazy soft passes that resulted in steals for PC. Also, too many "thread the needle" passes that resulted in turnovers. An observation: My old friend Dick V. always said "never throw "thread the needle" passes---They result in more turns than points.
AW is still apparently inconsistant from game to game--Sure he had 16 pts. but many were easy buckets. He just seemed to lack intensity the entire game, played HO-Hum defense and made several lazy passes. He is not going to earn all MVC honors playing like this!
Now the good--- TB continues to be a real FORCE w/ great intensity & toughness. He is clearly our best player at this time.
MK finally showed the shooting we have been hearing about. He should be a great zone buster.
Finally, we won but---we won uglyagainst an easy opponent.

Simple fact of the foul, which drew silly boos from the crowd,
was the 6-foot-8 freshman initiated contact in an aggressive manner,
rather than physically holding his ground to absorb the hit."
You must be one of the people he calls "silly" for objecting to that foul?

Again, too much SM and EM on the floor at the same time and again, same ol - same ol from EM.

Wiz-- I actually thought AW played the most consistently tough game this side of Chris Roberts last night. He made his shots, and I thought he was one of the guys who did not get sloppy on defense.
Otherwise I mostly agree with your post... Though I'm worried about SM, I've thought his game, like McCain's, has been off this year. Maybe it relates to a nagging ankle. I hope not, because we'll need a good contribution out of at least one of EM or SM (and hopefully both) down the stretch.
