    Game story from BradleyBraves.com
PEORIA, Ill. ? Bradley sophomore forward Taylor Brown (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody) turned in career-highs with 19 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double, leading the host Braves (3-1) to a 71-58 victory against Presbyterian College (0-4) in the second round of the HoopTV Las Vegas Invitational Tuesday night at Carver Arena.

Great to see Milos score - shooting well with confidence.

That THROW-DOWN by Roberts on the rebound dunk was SWEET!

      Hope Sammy's ankle is ok.

Yea... we didn't put 'em away. Happy with the win. Moving on to the next opponent.

Also - Jake Troyli (#30 for the Blue Hose) looked to me like a very good player. And he's only a freshman.

Oh well. We'll either get this train on the track or get blown out in Vegas.
Hold on a second. They beat a team by double digits at home which was a better showing against a pretty strong Wofford team that is giving Illinois fits tonight! And of course we are not going to play at the same intensity as we will against OKS on Friday night. We'll be fine.

I wasn't worried about the outcome of this game. I thought the entire game JL was trying to work different combinations into the game, knowing that this was not going to be a really difficult game. Getting some of the younger guys more minutes in the meat of the game is going to pay off later this year, maybe even this week. We could have kept to 5-7 guys in the whole game and blown these guys out by 20-30, but to what point? Use the time to work on things against a team that does not really know what you are doing, much better than doing that in practice.

BU has got to learn to turn 12-14 point leads into 22-24 point leads. We didn't put these guys away and because of this we end up getting SM's already sore ankle hurt again. Had BU taken care of business he wouldn't have even been on the floor.

Sorry for the rant-n-rave...we won...give Presby some credit for not folding and continuing to play hard.....on to Vegas...

            Go Braves
I'll take the win, but when a friend of mine and I were leaving the game, we were saying the same things. There were some postives to take from this game.. I have to say that after posting after the Wofford game that Milos had not showed me anything.. I gladly say that I liked what I saw from Milos tonight! Keep it up Milos!!!

              I agree with you bds.

Winning by 10-15 pts now but helping us win games later on this season cause of player development is better than winning by 30 now and then losing later in the season wondering why some players may not have developed faster.

No, we wouldn't. We'd be 3-1...just like we are.
The yearly revisionist history routine is getting really tired.
If we had TB, if we had Dodie, if we had Will, if we had Warren...if, if, if, blah, blah, blah...meaningless.
We are what we are...that's all that matters...ifs and would'ves and could'ves are buzzwords that lousy teams embrace...we should hope to be better than that.

Facts can't be ignored. Bradley was without 2 starters for the entire conference season last year. I am certain no team in recent history has won the MVC with 2 starters out all year, or made it to the NCAA tournament. So those overly critical of the team and coaching staff aren't being realistic.

And I think Bradley would have had a chance to win the game at BYU with TB. They were tied midway in the 2nd half, and TB would have made a big difference.

I've always said 2 big things can impact a season. I call them jokingly "Injuries and Felonies". Meaning - injuries and off-court issues. You can't control injuries, but you can try to control off-court issues. Thankfully for Bradley, we have the local rag keeping Bradley in line on how tough they handle the off-court issues. So maybe, just maybe... if we coulda, shoulda, woulda had local news media without an agenda against the University then maybe... just maybe, we coulda, shoulda, woulda been 4-0. But seriously - great work by the local rag and KW for the numerous times of putting Bradley in it's place and calling them out. And whatever the local rag and KW does, don't EVER report/show how it goes on everywhere and maybe worse at times with less discipline. This is Peoria - and there is only 1 team in Peoria. No fans of UIUC, ISU, or SIU read the local rag.

                        I agree completely!

By the way, I'm not sure how anyone can say matter of factly that we would or would not be 4-0/3-1 if we had TB against BYU. I just don't get that at all.

The fact of the matter is that we've won the games we're "supposed to win" and we're 3-1.

OK, well, let's look at the facts then...the fact is that we are 3-1. The fact is that we lost the game to BYU.
Would we have won if TB played? Who knows...and who really cares? We didn't...so move on.

That's the sweetest stroke I've seen since JC's junior year. MK could be our missing link. We just need to find ways to get him the open look like JC had.

And it looked to me like he gained a LOT of confidence overall tonight!
