I thought this Monday morning show might be better this year after they have had a year to learn from. I have to rearrange my entire schedule Mondays to listen to this show, and most of you know I am as big a fan of BU and JL as there is, but I am sorry, I can't really say much more than this show is really not worth listening to for real fans of BU.
The Jim Les Live Show is advertised from 8:30 to 9:00am. But 8:30 news, weather, traffic, and ads don't get over until about 8:40am. Then Jim got there a little late, so they just played music for a couple minutes, and started the Jim Les Show about 8:42am.
One of the 2 hosts isn't really a Bradley fan, so his questions to Coach Les were ones like, "Could you explain the format of this tournament", which took up a couple minutes going over the 4 "anchor teams", and the 4 travel teams, etc, which almost all Bradley fans already know about. The other co-host, Dan Diorio, is closely involved with the Bradley broadcasts, and he asks a bit more relevant questions, but they are still rather general and rarely the questions us real fans want to hear.
There were a couple questions about yesterday's game, that everyone has already seen or read about, and then there was a couple minutes talking about Taylor Brown's suspension again. The suspension discussion rehashed stuff that's months old, and was a complete waste of time, IMO.
Then there was a couple minutes talking about some of the big plays made yesterday and getting freshman Milos and Dyricus into the games more.
The show ended right at 8:55, in order to get in a couple promos and commercials before the 9:00 break. So the show lasted 13 minutes. I would like to hear more discussion about the next game, what kind of team they are and what kind of game plan (without giving away secrets) is planned.
I think the fans would like to hear more details about the players, recruiting, and how Coach Les sees this team developing, and about the future opponents and the MVC. Maybe they assume the only people listening are regular Greg & Dan listeners who aren't really Bradley fans, but then they should try to develop a show similar to the old dedicated call-in show for the real fans. JMO.

Just about everyone agrees DC that this show change was a bad idea and a complete waste of everyone's time.
They just need to scrap it and go back to the nightly show. If the big schools can get their coach to sit down for TV then we should be able to get Coach Les to sit down for a period of time on the radio with Snell, the guy who should be doing the show, not a guy who knows zero about Bradley Basketball, and the other guy who tries, but is more political than he is sports related and doesn't know what questions to ask that are even remotely relevant.
The reason for the existence of the show is not based on disseminating information. Big time coaches have radio and TV shows. It's existence is used as a minor recruiting tool.
