I have no problem with Ederen and realize he is only a sophomore, whatever happened to the theory that you go with the guys that get the job done and right now DSE is that guy, the kid has only played in 2 games and has all the tools and poise of a senior, he is just a better player period .

Crouch ended up sitting most of his sophomore year because there was a better option that year. He then busted his @ss over the next offseason and made himself a better player. Coach Les didn't just keep starting him.

If there is a better option than McCain, then he should be playing and McCain needs to get better.

I don't think anyone posting here thinks anything we say, positively or otherwise, affects what BU coaches/players will do re decisions

People like to speak their minds, if you don't agree fine...but that doesn't mean others can't express themselves...free country

Hey AZ the door swings both ways
I guess because I don't agree with I shouldn't express my opinion. I didn't know this was a dictatorship. i thought all opinions were welcome

You play the best players at each position and the ones that give you the best chance to win. You don't play the players to show your patience with them. I'm not saying DSE is better than EM. He had a better game and he earned more time if not maybe a start to see how he does but I'll wait before I declare absolutely that he is better than EM. His short time on the court so far though has me thinking it's possible.

              WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
apparently I've been wasting my time these past few years...
I thought JL checked this as regularly as Da Coach!!

              I'm OUT!!!!

              In all seriousness though:
I've been pretty vocal on the "Start SM" topic. Mainly because of this "patience w/ players" trend.

SM would be the one who has had most (Bradley) experience and i feel our best option right now. I like the idea of letting EM, DSE, and SM earn the spots. Whoever plays the best gets the start....my guess is thats how Les is doing it too

and since JL reads this and makes his coaching decisions because of it...it will be what he does
Gloria: Who's side are you on?
Jay: She's my daughter, you're my wife. Let's remember what's important, there's a football game on today

but words do hurt and in at least one case, a very highly regarded and highly coveted player spurned a school and backed out of his committment because of what was being said on message boards..

I guess I'd fall on the "trust JL" side of things. I remember a kid named JJ Tauai that all the fans had thrown under the bus who ended up being the "glue guy" in a season that turned around and ran to the Sweet 16. JL has described DSE as a GAMER, meaning he shows his best when the lights are on. Sometimes it takes guys a while to find that gameday switch, I'm betting EM will find that switch in the very near future.

JJ was better than EM because he was big and could rebound and play defense.

I don"t think anybody is throwing EM under the bus, just pointing out that he may not be as good as someone else, also it was disgusting when people treated JJ the way some did his sophomore season. You don"t boo your own players or team and call yourself a fan.I hope EM continues to get better and help this team win games.

Look at Kevin Dillard that is a point guard shown improvement. His defense has shown more improvement than his offense.

                          Did I miss something here?

                          Wasn't Dillard Mr. Basketball though?

Shouldn't he be much further along than McCain anyways?

I am talking about a player getting better from year to year.

I am not sure you can tell much about Dillard this year, though I am sure he has improved. SIU hasn't played anyone yet, except Division II opponents and Tenn. Martin, who will be bad this year.

2 games does not make a season, good or bad.
