Not sure how Jim expects us to outrebound anyone by playing 4 guys 6'4" and under most of the time. Taylor Brown isn't Dennis Rodman, and he isn't the 'cure all' to our rebounding woes. He will help some, but if they think he is just magically going to fix an average of -11 on the boards, they're sorely mistaken.

Great game DSE. You might be the blessing this team's been missing for a long time.

I'm so disgusted right now about Dodie I can barely talk, so I am just going to stop right now before I say something I regret.
Said what I wanted to say better than I'd say it.

not sure why Eddren's 0-2 wasn't factored in, as I am pretty sure both came fron outside the arcs..but they were in the book as 2-pointers.
One other missed call...on that save inbounds play Dyricus looked OOB with a whole foot..

I thought they looked like threes, but the refs ruled 2-pointers on both. He must have had a toe on the line.

Singh & Egolf were just killed on the boards tonight, this would of been an easy 15 to 20 point win had Brown been in there and racked up his 8-12 boards a game. Probably would of solved the layup drill that Idaho State was running on us all game long. Probably 80% of their points were within 4 to 5 feet of the hoop & layups.

Still gotta work on the FT's, missed another 8 tonight out of 25 attempts.

Alright, everyone, lets not go overboard with this close loss, they have a whole week to work DSE into a main role and Brown comes back in for the boards & post D. Lets see how they do against Wofford, who gave Pitt a close game.

I agree with your post about Singh and Egolf...but, lets not forget that Egolf has never flashed any inside strength. Before the injury WE didn't show any signs of being a rebounder. He's built and wired to play a small forward's game. He's got underrated athleticism and movement skills, but he's not a banger. So, looking for significant rebounding out of WE is probably unrealistic.

            A couple of points here...

In some instances, this year's team reminds me of the 07-08 NIT team in that we were passing the ball around (not as good as that team yet) and shooting the three.... need more inside presence as stated on other posts...

AT needs to keep his arms up on defense especially when the other team is about to shoot.

with TB back, I would like to see the following lineup on the floor... just to see us play big!
            SM
            AW
            TB
            WE
            AT

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
