BU women lose to NIU 86-73

The BU women also lost their season opener tonight at Northern Illinois 86-73-

They shot fairly well, and had a good effort all around, except they made 25 turnovers to NIUs 15. Freshman Katie Yohn lead the Braves with 16 points, and Sonya Harris had 15 points and 13 rebounds. Michelle Lund didn't play, and BU could have used her ball handling.

The stat that I was most interested in was how the lady braves went 6-13 from behind the arc in the first half but only 1-10 in the second half. This team can shoot lights out from behind the arc so going 1-10 was very surprising to see.

Have to put this behind them though and come out on Sunday with some fire gunning for the win against UIC at 2:05 at ICC.

The 1-10 without Lund is not that surprising. Lund is a great shooter. Yohn is great too but it was her first collegiate regular season game, this girl is gonna be special. She was on fire in the game against Quincy, when she gets hot it's pretty much over, but she is very streaky. They will bounce back on Sunday. Good to see Sonya continue her double double streak.
