  • Evan Turner = Stud

Ohio State may not have much else, but Evan Turner is a stud...
after his triple double in game 1 of the season, tonight he's at it again vs. James Madison..

The game is only 16 minutes old and Turner already has 10 points and 9 rebounds...although he doesn't have any assists.
Ohio State leads JMU 23-20, and OSU is 0-7 from beyond the arc...

Evan Turner was about 5 minutes away from transferring to Bradley. Uggh...that's something I wish I would have never read....

He nearly transferred to BU after his freshman year at OSU. There were rumors swirling a couple of years ago, and an article about it last year during the season.

Evan is a good friend and ex-AAU (Illinois Wolves) teammate of Sam Maniscalco.

There was one game when Sam M. was a senior that he almost singlehandedly beat the Weschester St. Joe's team boasting Evan Turner AND Demetri McCamey.

Ohio State may not have much else? They're ranked 16th, generally picked to finish in the top three of a really good Big Ten, and off the top of my head Diebler, Lighty, and Buford are really good players that come to mind.

apparently at times, correct...if you watched the game last night (60-57 loss to Purdue), clearly Ohio State did not have much else besides Evan Turner.
Turner was still a stud and almost lifted the Buckeyes to a win anyway...but Turner couldn't have been expoected to help defend JaJuan Johnson...who went for 24 pts/7 rebs.

Evan Turner finished with 29 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and he helped shut down Barlow, Kramer, and Hummel.
Evan Turner's 29 points were more than the rest of his teammates put together...
so at least last night he didn't have a whole lot of help...

                  1. You don't need to shut down Kramer....

Some argue that OSU has the best starting 5 in the big 10....
One player doesn't bring a team to number 9 in the country nowadays IMO.

I am also not just saying this because they embarrassed Illinois in Champaign. Ok maybe I am.

Yeah, ask the Illini how weak the rest of the Ohio St lineup is! The nets are still smoking down in Champaign from Diebler's 6 threes....

                      Diebler's cooked...his hand is hurt - may be broke...only 2-6 last night
"They??™ve got him in a splint immobilizing it today.."

                      we'll see............

2-6 mainly because he wasn't wide open like in Champaign. He played 40 minutes, doubt the hand was barking too much but probably is sore now! In fact, 4 of their 5 starters played all 40 min.

I have never heard of this but will certainly take your word. That being said, I can't explain how completely dumbfounded/sickened I am by that statement.
