two representatives of the PJ Star were there when the kids made their decision to redshirt AND each player was offered the chance to choose, nobody was forced....
yet the paper paints it differently and the tweet calls for accountability!!
the picture even suggests a bit peeved...
This is a serious question and I hope I don't get flamed for it, just because I am an ISU fan.
Do basketball players at Bradley have any say on being redshirted or not?
Absolutely- Coach Les has said many times he never asks any kid to redshirt if they don't want to. He advises the players, but in the end it is their choice.

Herd via BParker that there will be a retraction/greatly appreciated/I'm sure JP will b glad..mistakes happen! Pract/video tonight-24hrs! 33 minutes ago from web
There should be a retraction. That headline last night was BS. Come on PJ Star - You try to build up goodwill with BU by creating 'BradleyHoops' online, and then turn around and continue to spin things negatively. Just report the d@mn facts and let people make up their own minds. I know it's a lost art but I know there are still good people working there.

I just thought it should be bolded!

to quote the group The Talking Heads.. Same as it ever was...same as it ever was......same as it ever was.......
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
Something to the effect of 'Redshirt Stings' or something to that effect, and then went on to say how 'disappointed' and 'surprised' JP was. I don't remember the exact quote, but it was only up online for an hour or so before it was changed.

I do like the PJS, one of the first sites I went to when I got a computer, they had a bunch of great Bradley Articles online this morning. The article being talked about, I guess everyone words things wrong once in a while. But it has to be pointed out to them like the posters are doing.
The headline was "Feeling Sting of Redshirting", referring to Eureka Hornets' Jordan Prosser. The secondary headline that ran in the paper today was even more negative, can't remember what it said.
