In the end Prosser even gets an extra full year of college/grad school paid for!
The same people ripping on JP for redshirting were probably the ones ripping on Egolf for not doing it as a freshman.

Why is it that people are simply discussing opposing views and you see it as "trashing". With all due respect thats an insult. WHO is trashing anyone. I respect the opposing views on JP. NO ONE is flaming anything. Jeesh.

SOME think it was a good move...a few don't.

Let the civil discusions continue. Reasonable people can have opposing views. No one is right or wrong.

Hey, in a few years it will be a good move, but this year BU is going to hurt down low. The three bigs aren't that great and you're just not going to rebound all that effectively out of four guard sets.
So you think Jim saw a kid that was battling guys in practice...handling them and decides....we don't need that, lets sit him out a year.

I respect your opinion but totally disagree here.

      • Amen DRU!!

This Forum is big enough/good enough where people with all opinions about BU and its past/present/future should be able to discuss and debate...

The only requirement should be an interest in, or respect for, BU MBB, and the posters on this site.

I'm really not sure. I haven't been to any practices, so yeah, it's possible he wasn't holding his own. I just know that if any of those three was badly outplaying JP then there's an injury or some other issue. He's certainly more talented than any of them, even now as a freshman.

Hopefully it works out, but as I said I think this year's team is .500 or slightly better, considering what's going to be a lack of post scoring/rebounding, especially in Valley play. Time will tell who's right.

            Agreed...hope it works out.

Again..I respect you thoughts but, without actually seeing how JP actually matched up agaisnt D1 competition, I don't know HOW you can assert that.

NOT HS talent...actual proven D1 talent.

Its possible JP wasn't getting outplayed all that much and it was simply a numbers game. There are only so mnay minutes and if JL wants guys to develop they will have to play. JP, if playing, would be taking away from others time.

Again..the 3,4...5 minutes JP MIGHT have got would not be as valuable to the team OR JP then the 30-35 he could get as a Senior.
