Leagally speaking there maybe more to this case then what has been discussed. There is something fishy going on and if their legal team can get a court to open up this case I bet you that the NJCAA allows him to play.

The LOI would take away the argument that they took away options because they will argue that he wants to play for BU and he signed an LOI. Now the defense cannot make that argument. They can say that BU offered him but they can come back and say, "What about other options." You see by signing the LOI they keep themselves away from mentioning that the NJCAA is keeping him away from other options.

He can always go and play pro-ball in Europe regardless. He'll be elligible for the NBA next draft but by not playing due to some fishy ruling they have diminshed his chances. This also limits his options to play in Division 1 because he has no other venue to show case his talents. The real argument is that without the vehicle of playing for this team he will have to forfiet his scholarship and make it hard for him to obtain his diploma. I'm sure the NJCAA will not want to get this far. Once the injuction is set they will back off! But fist they need the injunction. Once that is set then it is safe for JW to sign the LOI. Legal process can sometime be confusing andjust likeanything in life a case cansome times be won or loss by the tiniesof things that you or I would find inconsequential but not a judge.

The biggest thing a lawsuit might have going for it is that the NJCAA is literally a small-time operation compared to the NCAA. The NCAA draws in hundreds of millions of dollars a year, where the NJCAA operates on a shoestring by comparison. I believe a lawsuit has an excellent chance of succeeding if for no other reason that the NJCAA doesn't have the resources to fight a protracted legal battle.
