They also have a ton of craft beers on tap ... if there was any doubt that this was a Bradley basketball bar (sidenote: confirmed the imminent purchase of mucho Bradley "stuff"), I ran into a member of the coaching staff on my way out.

About the pizzas -- I asked, they said that they're looking to attract more of a Bradley jr/sr/prof/alum crowd and card very hard, so doing away with the pizzas will probably do away with a lot of the under-"junior" crowd ...

They're also tentatively talking about hiring the trolleys to run a route from Campustown before and after the games, so you could park there, eat/drink, trolley it to the game, enjoy the game, trolley it back up the hill and eat/drink more.

I think they absolutely are on the right track with the whole bar, and will be doing my part to help keep them in business.
Eh...I wouldn't alienate all of that 'junior' crowd...In theory it sounds like a good idea, but that's not how that place is going to succeed. In this economy I wouldn't be alienating anyone. Now obviously that doesn't mean break the law, but there's a decent sized Greek community at BU that might be associated with the 'junior' crowd that has a lot of money to spend. It's big enough for everyone.

I like the new Fieldhouse. They have a facebook page and they recently posted pictures.

I like the idea of a trolley to the games. That could come in handy.

I too think a trolley is a good idea... Btw, how'd you find the page on facebook? I just did a weak search and didn't manage to turn it up.

BU did at one point actually have football. And one of the owner's father was a member of the team. That is the significance of the football player on the menu. It's a cool random fact about Bradley from forever ago, and a lot of younger students aren't aware that we did have a team for a while.

There are shirts that have basketball players, football players, and soon to come soccer players. The football player is one of the owners fathers, the basketball player is actually a silhouette of jim les, and the soccer player is one of the owners good friends. So it's representing all aspects of BU sports.

              The Fieldhouse

The blue and gold is for St. Marks Grade School on the edge of the Bradley campus. All of the owners either coached or attended St. Marks.

Cool. Question asked, question answered! I like the Peoria feel to this place!

Try Fieldhouse Peoria. It's an actual friend's page, not a group or fan page. 365 friends.

I think most know that Bradley used to have a football team. If not the students on campus then I'd say probably all of the regular posters on this board do know. In case you are new you should know that there are some extreme old timers on this board haha. No offense of course to the old timers.

Bradley last played football in the fall of 1970.

Doesn't Bradley sell BU Football shirts that say something like Undefeated since 1970 or something?

Wow I was a Patriot & the Marksmen were one of our biggest rivals when I was in grade school. Funny.

I don't object to the term "old timers"...it's the term "extreme" that I have a problem with!

I also played against St. Marks when I was in grade school...back before St. Pat's in Washington joined the IESA. I will have to check out this place!

Anybody who ever played in the St. Marks Gym will never forget it. One of, if not thee smallest gyms in Peoria....I might head on over to the Fieldhouse for the game Friday night.

It was very small, but as I recall St. Bernard's Gym was as small if not smaller. I'm planning to be there tomorrow night.
