Hey - Just wanted to give props to the people who have opened up 'The Fieldhouse' at the former Gorman's location. All I can say is 'WOW'. That's the way it's supposed to be done! My only comment would be that there needs to be more Bradley memorabilia on the walls, as it is a 'Bradley' bar. Other than that, I look forward to meeting there before and after games, and also hope it turns into a road game viewing venue.
I hope not. That would be kind of lame. This is Peoria and BU, not South Bend and ND.
Yeah, I can echo that. Another thread started after this one states they're going to load it down with some BU memorabilia which is good... And that the ownership has a connection to Bradley football... But for something called the fieldhouse, the player on the logo should be a basketball player, and the slogan should be Hail Red & White. Don't mind if they're also ND fans and put some ND stuff out, but if they're going to use the Fieldhouse as their name then BU should be the top dog there.
Are we pretty certain they'll be able to get the DTV channel for the BYU game?

Yeah, read that other thread and now I am really excited at the potential this place has. Sounds like it's going to have a real BU flavor to it.
They will for sure have the game. It's on DirecTV channel 616.
In regards to the football player on the logo, my girlfriend works there and she just told me that their work shirts have a basketball player instead of a football player.
Good news! --Will have to check this place out before a game!--
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

I'll probably stop in sometime tonight to just pick up a menu and have a look around. This sounds like a great addition to the Bradley campus area!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
Stopped in today for lunch ... all I could say was WOW. The owners found that pretty funny. They will absolutely have the game on (I asked). And the special is $3 Coors Light big drafts. They also have a ton of craft beers on tap ... if there was any doubt that this was a Bradley basketball bar (sidenote: confirmed the imminent purchase of mucho Bradley "stuff"), I ran into a member of the coaching staff on my way out.
About the pizzas -- I asked, they said that they're looking to attract more of a Bradley jr/sr/prof/alum crowd and card very hard, so doing away with the pizzas will probably do away with a lot of the under-"junior" crowd ...
They're also tentatively talking about hiring the trolleys to run a route from Campustown before and after the games, so you could park there, eat/drink, trolley it to the game, enjoy the game, trolley it back up the hill and eat/drink more.
I think they absolutely are on the right track with the whole bar, and will be doing my part to help keep them in business.
