I would of been in favor of this if we had 2 exhibition games but since this was the only one, Les should of played the starters more so that they could get in rhythm and shoot better. With the exception of Brown, the starters went 5 for 17 FG, 1 for 8 on 3's, 10 fouls, and 2 turnovers. I'm sure that won't be the starting lineup come Friday but it's not exactly a confidence booster heading into one of the toughest games of the season.

He IS a starter.


The only guys who didn't distinguish themselves from the pack were the point guards. McCain got the T and Maniscalco shot the ball terribly and lost his man for wide open 3's very frequently.

If anything, DSE proved that he should be getting MORE minutes than what he did as he showed he can play both ends of the floor.


Also, what is the deal with Prosser? He's every bit as good as Sticks.


Finally, is Taylor in the doghouse again? He didn't play the last 10 or so minutes and I just couldn't figure out why.


By far the two that distinguished themselves from everyone else were Andrew and Taylor. They should be stone cold lead pipe LOCKS as starters on Friday.

There's no need to rush JP. From what I hear he is still adjusting to the size and speed at this level. AT has a higher ceiling at this point than JP, and 2 more years of experience. If he's showing signs of reaching that ceiling, it's time to give him a real extended shot to show it.

I mean I don't see why we couldn't...I just would rather have Prosser available because we know what we'll get from Sam and you never know what you'll get to this point from Sticks.

Good question, I don't know. I want Sticks to get an extended look. From what I have heard JP is still adjusting, which is fine. It might be wise for us to have him there in case of an injury though like you said, as 2 of our 3 centers have had ACL's in the past.

Well its already been pretty widely speculated that Eastman will be a likely candidate.


Great kid and I will be absolutely thrilled about having him around that extra year.

I figure he was resting some of the players. Clearly he didn't want any to hit 25+ minutes (look at the boxscore, there's probably 5 or 6 guys with 23 or 24 minutes. No one with more. We weren't concerned with "winning" or running up the score... so why keep TB in?

AGREED! Love love love that those two will be solid. Glad TB had Theron last year to learn from, because he's definitely picked up on some things!

How can JP 'disappear' when he only plays 3 minutes? Seriously, some people are worrying WAY too much about this. JP is behind two 3rd year sophomores and a 6th year senior as far as post players go. There is NOTHING to be concerned about at this point with him or his development.

I disagree. They're doing what they're told, and are both better than DSE at just about everything at this point. Not throwing the ball inside has been a staple of the Les regime and likely will continue to be whether DSE is playing or not.

I definitely do, I just don't think DSE is some transcendent point guard who knows how to do that more than the other two. I said in another post that I want us to go inside more to WE and even AT. A LOT more!

I can't really agree w/ you though because I fully believe DSE could be a POY by his Junior year here...just needs to be put in the right situations.

He is by far more talented than either the other guards were when they first came in to Bradley and had better numbers than Ruff did in high school and when he first came in.


I have very high expectations for the kid, and I'm sure he has some for himself, thus why he was recruited by BCS schools.

Wow...that's pretty lofty expectations. I think if he's a starter by the time he's a junior that would be an accomplishment, he's got some pretty good players that are in front of him.
