Timeless devotion......coming from you.....I am tearing up.

Someone has to keep you on your toes. I think your slipping some in your old age man. Hope you can bring your 'A' game once the season starts. I am of course kidding about the slipping thing T. Your as sharp as ever.
Given that D-II juco rarely ever sends a player to D-I and almost never to the upper echelon of D-I, then surely Kenyon should have his way with those easy opponents this season, racking up impressive stats...
Well he sat out all of last season, so not overly concerned about his impressive stats. I can keep you updated if you want, but something tells me you don't need me to do that. Not with your timeless devotion
I see they get a chance to face Southeastern, so Kenyon should score 20 on a non-D-I kid like Paris Gulley...
I don't know man. 20 points out of your point guard on a nightly basis....He's not Dillard.

If you go see that game, let me know what you think.

Tonight is a good juco game...

Blackhawk (2-0 with ex-Richwoods' Jontell Lindsay) vs.
Southeast Iowa (3-0 with ex-Manual and Midstate opponent of Lindsay's, Paris Gulley)
Perhaps some "miracle" can intervene and John Wilkins can gain eligibility and be there by game time??

Here's an interesting score from last night..

John A. Logan (5-1) junior college knocked off #4 ranked (nationally) Three Rivers (4-1) 79-56.
Logan has a kid named Lazeric Jones, who is claimed to have an offer from UCLA!! He is a 6-2 PG and his stats are as follows..
          10.4 ppg, 5 apg, 25% on 3-pointers, 2 TO...
Last night he had 19 pts, 4 asst.

Logan outshot, outscored, outrebounded, and out played TRCC, despite Three Rivers' HUGE front line that includes 7-footer Ehimen Orupke that is headed to Wichita State. TRCC also has an All American candidate, 6-4 SG Marquis Carter who was held to only 9 pts, bringing his average down now to 22.5 ppg. (9 pts, 1 reb, 0 asst, 4 TO)
Orupke had 3 pts, 6 rebs, 5 fouls...bringing his averages to 5.4 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 4.2 fouls per game - and 42% from floor & 52% from FT line.
          TRCC was 0-9 from 3-pt!

SG Marquis Carter is reported to also have an offer from Wichita State, as well as Missouri State and other MVC schools.

Then just in case he ends up at WSU, I hope BU gets a tape of the game last night and learns how to contain the guy..
he was averaging over 27 ppg before last night.

Just in case anyone is curious about Kenyon Smith, he's now had games of 20, 8, 9, 19, and 28. (Using stats from his college website)

His last line was 28 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals. (and 4 turnovers)

                So, season average is
                16.4ppg, 6.2rpg, 2.8assists, 4.2 turnovers (the 11 turnover game hurt), and 2.8 steals.

If you take out the game against the JV team (he really didn't play much), his averages are:
                18.75ppg, 7.75 rebounds, 3.25 assists, 5 turnovers, 3 steals.

strange numbers from a 5'11" guy who was known as a distributor and not really a scorer.

                  As a side note...

John A. Logan is about 10 minutes from the SIU arena so it has naturally been rumored we are looking at some of their players (5 in the Juco Junction top 108.) The most likely to be a Saluki is 6'8" forward Jesse Perry who was reportedly on board to come before he did not qualify. Most think it is no coincidence that the JUCO he picked was so close...

Lincoln College visited Southeastern Community College (Iowa)....
                    and Southeastern wins 72-68..

For Southeastern, Norvell Arnold had 25, Paris Gulley had just 2
for Lincoln, Kenyon Smith was 4-16 (1-4 from 3pt) and 10 pts.
SCC had 12 turnovers at halftime, then didn't have a single TO in the 2nd half.
