OJ Mayo transfers to WV high school

A week ago he was rumored to be transferring to another Ohio high school.

OJ Mayo is now playing for Huntington High School in West Virginia, but he is showing signs that he might have been better off playing for Bob Huggins.
Mayo got ejected from his team's game Friday night after receiving two technicals and now must sit out two games.
Mayo also risked suspension for the rest of the year as a video tape shows he bumped the ref.
Mayo was one of at least 6 members of the team who were ejected.
Now the spectre of their team playing two nationally ranked opponents this week without their pampered superstar, has all the Huntington fans whining that it's not fair.
You have to read all their crybaby stuff, it's really sooooo sad....

I am one who thinks kids like OJ Mayo are guaranteed to develop big heads because of the superstar worship they are subjected to. And Mayo has had a several publicized episodes of suspensions and thug behavior in the past. But does anyone else think this episode was a nice job of acting by that ref? IMO, he was determined to bait Mayo and get him out of the game.

I think Mayo will be a "one and done" player in the NCAA. Good luck to Tim Floyd and USC--looks like you got a hum dinger of a "student-athlete" Agree with the comments about the adults around some of these soon-to-be freshman phenoms. All too often they seem to stroke a good player's ego to the point of absurdity where they think they're untouchable by any set of rules or guidelines. Once those boundaries are breached, you find yourself the focal point of Outside the Lines or 60 Minutes! If the player pans out and signs a lucrative contract to the NBA, some of the adults just sit back and enjoy the luxuries of the player's first big-assed check without caring about the state of said player's body from the neck up."The NCAA is so upset about alleged recruiting violations at Kentucky that they decided to give Cleveland State the Death Penalty"--Jerry Tarkanian
