  • Indiana State's leading scorer- Harry Marshall- suspended indefinitely

Indiana State coach Kevin McKenna has suspended senior guard Harry Marshall indefinitely. He will not play in Tuesday's exhibition basketball game against Rose-Hulman due to a violation of team rules, and his return to the team has not been determined.

Another guard, Aaron Carter, is sick with the swine flu and willl aslo miss tomorrow's exhibition game.

But there is NO way that Indiana State should be picked behind BU.

I was looking forward to INSU being at full strength, and surprising everyone in the league. Jake Kelly is a huge addition, but without Marshall, they only have one scorer.

This Jake Kelly had better be one helluva a player 'cause that's all everyone's talking about. Geez!

I'll tell ya one thing Jake Kelly, this ain't the Big 10 where every team has 2 or 3 quality players starting and all of the attention is on someone else. If this Jake Kelly is all that and a bag of chips then every MVC team is gonna game plan the boy and find a way to shut him down. ISU Blue had better have someone to take the heat off of this "superstar" or it's gonna be a long year for Master Kelly.

Well, they had Marshall until today...

A little hard on Kelly, aren't you?

Don't give in... I agree with everything you said...

Also, I've got a sneaking suspicion Marshall will be reinstated before games get tough...

ISU-Blue needs to check with the "KW's" of the world to make sure they are giving proper punishment and whether or not it is a renegade program.

Recall that Marshall was suspended for the entire 1st semester last year because of academic shortcomings. There are some rumors that this suspension may involve similar problems, but for right now nobody's talking.

Speaking of suspensions - Have we heard anything regarding any potential games missed by our own Taylor Brown? I don't want to speculate but hope that if he's going to miss time it's against Lewis. Personally, I don't think what happened this summer warrants a suspension unless he's found guilty of a crime, but I am not the one making the decisions. Maybe I want to win too badly but I really want our full roster for BYU.

No suspension that I've heard of...

I mean there was nothing really to comment on based on what had happened...just poor judgment from what i had heard.

This I found interesting when it happened because if you recall, Marshall came to Indiana St. as a walk-on under a partial academic scholarship...

I suspect he'll miss about as much action as the ISU kids who got DUI's

I hope that ends up the case. BU kids seem to get punished more so than other kids at other schools it seems, so I fear the worse. TB is from a solid family and has never been in trouble in his life, and I don't expect that to change.
