we have had quite of bit of success with transfers. jc and otherwise. with cellus, boogie, zack, tony bennett, etc. with more to come with deaaron, xavier, fears, etc.

do you think we have about the right amount or do you think we should have more or less. i see both pro and cons to it. nice to have a player for 4 years but many of them are not ready their first year while the transfers are.any thoughts?

I think JUCOs are a short term fix. I think they're a quick way to get respectable in a short amount of time. However, I think to be good in the long term, I think you need to primarily recruit 4 year players, and fill in with JUCOs when there is an immediate need.

I think the 5 spot could use a boost and a juco center could be the fix.........use the other ride to secure a freshman BIG!

A midmajor program like Bradley's needs a mix of 2 year, 4 year, and other transfer players to be successful. Even the top midmajor programs like Gonzaga have success with transfers from other 4 year schools and jucos.

Transfers are a good quick fix and they fill immediate needs, but to really build a strong program I think we need to have a heavy does of talent that is developed within the program. That development allows other potential recruits to see that the program is successful in making them grow as players, and will knock the quality of our recruits up a notch or two. So I guess I say keep filling immediate needs that arise with jucos but try to get as many freshmen as possible.

do you think we have had the right mix in the last 3 or 4 years?
