what place do you think we will finish in the mvc this upcoming season. I say we will surprise and finish 4th. what do you think?

I hope I'm wrong.........but the center position is really starting to worry me with SS out for a while and the possibility of XC not playing.........if that is what transpires 5th would be high!

i see wsu,siu and cu fightin' for the top three spots. us,msu and uni for the next three, with drake, isu, indiana state and evansville as the thursday play-in teams.

Well we finished fifth last year and lost a ton to graduation and the NBA. So I'm thinking sixth would be awfully optimistic.

i just hope we don't just kiss this season off to a 'rebuliding' year. there is no reason why we can't make some noise in the valley this season. have the best backcourt with some possible good surprises in salley and zack in the frontcourt.

5th or 6th but I just don't see us making it back to the big dance this year. I hope I'm wrong though.

Considering our roster and how it has been depleted not only through graduations, but other mishaps, and how strong the MVC is, I would think we will finish 8th. I have no lofty expectations going into this year and will enjoy the games for what they are, good hard fought college basketball. If we win some, it will be a bonus. I am awaiting the following year.

Tied for 6th, get the 7 seed in the tourney, win on Thurs and lose on Fri.

MVC just way too tough this year.

I can see anywhere from 5th to 8th.

I'm guessing a middle of the pack finish. There will be some D played this year and my guess is it will be coming in waves. During the course of the season I'm predicting, Warren, Jassey, Crouch or JJ will surprise everyone by playing at a much higer level than anyone thought or expected from them. I have this feeling that this team is going to have a bunker or us against the world mentality, and want to beat the odds or have a chip on their shoulder because I'm betting they have all heard that the expectations are low.

Has anyone heard what Matt Salley can do on the court? I haven't heard much on him yet other than he will be thrown into the fire to back up Zach!

I don't know where BU will finish this year, but I did run across a statement in an old article, that I thought was worth bringing up.

As well as BU did last season, and as unexpected as it appeared to be in the eyes of most experts, here is a statement from the owner of the Peoria Rivermen, Bruce Saurs, on October 6, 2005. when talking up his team, the Rivermen.

"the Rivermen ...set a franchise record for season ticket revenue...This is a big-time thing for Peoria. Our local economy will benefit - our head coach, assistant coach, trainer and equipment manager all came in and bought houses around here.

"Bradley University basketball in the Missouri Valley is a mid-major at best, and it's not going to get any better than that. The Peoria Chiefs have a good operation, in a low class-A league. The Peoria Rough Riders? That's not even pro sports. It's a semi-pro mess that's insignificant in the community.

"We aren't the only game in town. But we're the biggest..."

OK, Bruce...if you say so...but I like what the Braves did in 2006!

in defense of bruce saurs i see him at almost all the bradley home games and do thinks he supports bradley basketball.
