i just hope we don't just kiss this season off to a 'rebuliding' year. there is no reason why we can't make some noise in the valley this season. have the best backcourt with some possible good surprises in salley and zack in the frontcourt.

Considering our roster and how it has been depleted not only through graduations, but other mishaps, and how strong the MVC is, I would think we will finish 8th. I have no lofty expectations going into this year and will enjoy the games for what they are, good hard fought college basketball. If we win some, it will be a bonus. I am awaiting the following year.

I'm guessing a middle of the pack finish. There will be some D played this year and my guess is it will be coming in waves. During the course of the season I'm predicting, Warren, Jassey, Crouch or JJ will surprise everyone by playing at a much higer level than anyone thought or expected from them. I have this feeling that this team is going to have a bunker or us against the world mentality, and want to beat the odds or have a chip on their shoulder because I'm betting they have all heard that the expectations are low.

I don't know where BU will finish this year, but I did run across a statement in an old article, that I thought was worth bringing up.
As well as BU did last season, and as unexpected as it appeared to be in the eyes of most experts, here is a statement from the owner of the Peoria Rivermen, Bruce Saurs, on October 6, 2005. when talking up his team, the Rivermen.
"the Rivermen ...set a franchise record for season ticket revenue...This is a big-time thing for Peoria. Our local economy will benefit - our head coach, assistant coach, trainer and equipment manager all came in and bought houses around here.
"Bradley University basketball in the Missouri Valley is a mid-major at best, and it's not going to get any better than that. The Peoria Chiefs have a good operation, in a low class-A league. The Peoria Rough Riders? That's not even pro sports. It's a semi-pro mess that's insignificant in the community.
"We aren't the only game in town. But we're the biggest..."
OK, Bruce...if you say so...but I like what the Braves did in 2006!
