Only time will tell as I really like SS and what he brings w/ his energy but AT & WE have quickness and jumping ability if they are ready to play week in and week out
OK friend. I think SS will be big for BU this year and maybe the break out player in other terms. Hes not going to dazzle anyone with quick moves but hes Big, experienced, sets big screens, makes steals, good passes and does not make many mistakes. He had some good stats in Brazil as well. But he can't do it along and the other two will have to step up! Lets not forget, although told hes a 100% WE's injury happen less than a year ago. I am with you in hoping these guys come to play. But I will say this, although most on here seems to be more concern about the 5, I for one have the same concerns if not more with the 4 spot. Filling what TW brought each night will not be easy to replace, no matter who plays there If TB is the man or not, time will tell but who backs him up, JP or maybe AT or for that matter WE. It will be interesting, and as everyone knows I have been calling for JL to go big for awhile now Take care

I suppose I am in the minority about SS. He does bring a lot of experience but even after playing 4 years he made last season a lot of "freshman" type mistakes... Illegal screens come to mind. But he does shoot the ball well, is very good on screen rolls, especially passing the ball, but he has no jumping ability and gets winded very quickly.

As far as the 4, TW brought a ton of passion to the court nightly, but he also was a very bad shooter from beyong 10 feet, he turned the ball over way to much and he tended to get himself taken out mentally pretty easily. The guy was a very good player but I really do not anticipate to much trouble replacing his game with Brown, Roberts, Prosser, Egolf. All 4 are very capable to take up what TW gave. And a healthy Warren makes a huge difference all over the court for BU.

Houston's last statement is pretty much in line of my thoughts. If TB can be consistent and AW stays active and aggressive throughout the whole game we should be much better then last year.

Let's see how much AT plays in the Depaul scrimmage coming up. I still would like to see AT at the 4 to see how he handles it, if only for a few minutes a game to rest JB. I do not know how far out his shot is but to have a 6'9" and a 6'10" at the 4 and 5 at the same time for a couple of minutes a game would be sweet..

I though there was supposed to be no info released from the DePaul game?

I believe you are correct ph, I quess we do not have the "need to know" but I believe AT could be the intangible player this year to really make BU have a greater successful season. His stock seems to be low amongst most peoples thinking since he has shown very little to this point but if he were to succeed in giving just 10 minutes of production a game, he could become a difference maker for the season. IMO

J.Prosser has the ability to score consistently down low, I think he is going to get more minutes then most people expect even though he is only a freshman, remember he has played summer ball with all the BU players for the last several years so I think he should be used to how much more physical it is in college compared to high school.

You didn't like those illegal screens IF you watch much BCS BB you will see a lot of them in any one game and for the most part they are not called One would have to admit that once a player hits a SS screen he well be thinking about it the rest of the game! Also Sam had one injury RS year and then last year was granted another year (this year) do to another year he missed because of yet another missed year do to injury. As for he cannot jump, I quote the movie, "white men can not jump" JK As for getting winded, I can remember a BU 7' player from a couple years ago who got winded quickly, he's now in the NBA. I think I said Sam will not dazzle anyone but I have not seen enough of WE and AT to get all fussy about them. We will need all three of these players to step it up. Look all I said was if there is no injury's to Sam this could be a good year for him and BU.

I won't spent much time here talking last years First Team All MVC Player. Who happen to be the leader in team RB (7.3 pg), steals (66 year), total points and points per game (14pg) Not to mention at 6'5 he guarded and was guarded by players 1 to 4 inch's taller and was out weighted by as much as 25 lbs. Yes, TW had some issues Some that I thought hurt the team at times and I did not like his throat cutting act I also think we have players that are capable of matching his stats and I hope they do As for matching his passion, game in and game out well we shall see
I just wonder who will jump center

If we get 10 minutes of production per game from AT, then we won't need to worry about our centers this year. I am hoping for AT to have a break out year.

we may not know this, as all stats from the game are required by NCAA to be kept private and not made public
