Yeah I don't want a lot of small-ball, but someone playing at the point who isn't tall isn't a liability really. Both of our PGs are a generous 6' and I expect that both of those guys will, barring injury, play the vast majority of minutes at PG.

One good thing about our PGs are they are both thick and if EM is hitting that outside shot the opposing team will have to play him tighter and that should open up what he excels at and that is putting the ball on the floor and penetrating. As who is our best man on ball defender, I believe that has to be DD or EM! Then the next question who are the guys that will live off that extra pressure. Those are the long fast athletic guys who are going to make a living anticipating passes for steals, AW, CR and TB!"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

Sorry to be a broken record ...BU did pretty well when they have had a big presence in the post, POB or ZA (teamed up with Cellus and Boogie)
I think we have seen what can happen when we put lots of good small-medium size shooters on the floor without some big men in the middle who can hang with the best in the Valley. BU lives (and dies) by the jump shot and the mercy of the officials to call a foul when our guards try to drive to the basket. It works 16-18 times out of 32.
I don't know if BU has guards/wings can create their own shot or consistently make pull up jumpers when guarded. BU has to give them some space by having some bigs in there who can shoot mid range shots or have a go to post move and can play a credible inside-outside game. This prevents teams from smothering our good guards/wings on the perimeter with double teams and big men jumping out!!!
We know how much we can get from 'The Singh!' BU will need contributions from TB and WE, AT, JP to move up..
BU NEEDS HELP FROM BIGSBUilding for the Future

I believe we have the best guard rotation in the conference as we have good size, excellent quickness and above ave. scorers, I also think that in order to be able to matchup with taller teams that Will Egolf could also play the 4 if we needed to have a Singh, Prosser or Thompson at the 5 as Will is versatile enough to guard anyone out farther on the floor plus he can make the 15 to 18' shot away from the basket, we need to have alternatives to Taylor as he cannot play 40 minutes and if he gets into foul trouble I don"t want to see a smaller player at the 4.

I'm starting to worry people are putting too much on WE. I am generally a BU optimist but most seem to think he's going to excel and be a top tier big man this year. When really he has had 2 good games in his career so far. I really hope he does well, but I have been through the period of assuming we have tons of depth in big men, when really what we had we're inexperienced big bodies. We know what SS provides, and that's a solid, but not spectacular contribution. TB has shown flashes of brilliance - and periods where he struggles to get into the flow of the game. Past that all our big men are unknowns... I hope and expect to get an increased contribution from our big men, but I'm not going to deny that our bread and butter will likely be SamM, AW, EM, Dodie, and CRob.
