It does not have to be posted at this time. These things typically run a year late. An excellent site is guidestar.com. It is a free site. All you have to do is register. Some of the local not for profit folks do quite well.

Drive by? I already responed--absolutely nothing is wrong with wanting to know how much our coach is getting paid. My question regarding this before received limited information, and it appears to be some "state secret." My opinion of Jim's performance is separate from wanting to know this. I would think nothing is wrong with interested fans like me, who are alumns and support the University, knowing how much one of the highest-profile employees is making. So what if it is a "private" institution--which from a legal and open accountability standard is not as cut and dry as the term would seem to apply.

But all that being said, I just at the least wanted a semi-accurate or ballpark figure. In asking in this forum, I would think it would be a good source to learn the information, as well as to make it public. I have no bizarre, hidden agenda.

Do you think it is possible that Les earns more than the Prez (in base comp)? I don't. Unless Glasser got a significant raise I'm guessing Les is still slightly behind her in base pay. In fact, many universities make it a policy that their President is the highest paid employee. Now, that's not to say that JL's total "package" isn't in the $750K range. I have no doubt that it probably is.

This topic just got more relevant. Anyone have new info on this? If he signed a 5 year deal after the NCAA year, then he would only have 1 year after this year.
JL are not respunsible foor the string of injunrys....

don't be so sure about that. New AD, and growing sentiment that Jim's not the guy to lead us to next level...especially among big money boosters.

I saw something in our student newspaper that JL makes something in the region of $400,000 yearly...

I agree there will be no change for at least 3 years as he will be given a chance to recruit with the new building.

I would bet to the end of next year. After that all bets are off.

With a new AD in town and growing sentiment among some $$$$ people JL has every reason to be looking over his shoulder every so often. 0-3 without Merfeld, when we easily could have been 2-1. I didn't think we could get much worse. I was wrong.

Merf's market value is going up with each loss.

It might take some off the field problems to get a change in coaching this year. Unfortunately, that could easily happen with a bad team. A new AD and a micromanaging president could quickly lead to some spring cleaning.

I love spring cleaning... Almost as much as I like SFP's picture.

That's a biggie, especially if it involves alcohol.

That said, I certainly hope we don't have any incidents.

Unfortunately, from what I have seen first hand, this could become a problem.. A few players were out the night after the WC loss and then again a couple days before the Loyola loss. Same couple of guys were out two nights ago (between a bad loss and what should have been a big IA ST game). Not exactly the type of in-season behavior that I like to see.

On topic, Jim made about $419,000 the last year reported (maybe 2007?), with benefits. JG made a few thousand more at about $421,000. With endorsements, camps, etc. I would bet he is in the neighborhood of $500K or so. Based on past reports, Les' contract is escalating. So every year since 2006 his number goes up. One can guess how high it is now..

I say we give him 1 more yr, if it's another 5th or lower finish in the Valley, then we can him. It's nice that he's a former Bradley star but wins drive the program, not celebrity status. I'm sure Les is praying that he doesn't start off on the wrong side of Dr. Cross.
