  • Thijin Moses

Former Bradley recruit and Boys to Men Alum Thijin Moses is now at DePaul.
There is a report on the WeAreDePaul.com message board that the NCAA Clearinghouse has cleared Moses and he will be eligible to play this season.

The other DePaul message board, BlueDemonNation.com, has also reported this story, but it is a premium story--

If this is true, it would be good news for BU as far as Xavier Crawford's potential eligibility. It would be bad news in the fact that Moses will be playing against BU on November 11.

The odds were supposedly very slim that Moses was going to qualify or be cleared this year. Hopefully we get some similar news on Xavier Crawford. While XC did have his own baggage as far as qualifying goes, it was far less than the saga that has been Thijin Moses.

Here is another player whose eligibility is held up by the NCAA Clearinghouse, a Five Star Player.

I talked over the weekend with a Chicagoan who attended an event this weekend that all the DePaul players were at.
Here are a few comments about Thijin Moses and some of the other players.
Moses is beginning to put on some weight and getting stronger, but in the open gyms so far, he is outplaying just about everyone DePaul has. He is a true 6-8 and can leap.
He is money with his outside shot and is very quick.
Wilson Chandler is also an awesome specimen and has gotten himself into great shape for the upcoming Big East season. Some who have seen him say he may have a shot at competing for an all-conference slot.
Incoming guard Will Walker is athletic and a great 2-guard, but returning Sammy Meija should lead the team in scoring.
DePaul is also giving a big push to get Nick Freundt.
Their big worry-- getting a point guard that can play at the Big East level.
Their present guys would make good backup PGs but they don't have a solid guy at the point.
Will Walker has played some point guard and they may be grooming him for that spot.
I know some of the DePaul guys occasionally read this board, so maybe they can add a bit more about the Blue Demons, who are Bradley's first opponent at Carver Arena on Nov. 11.
