I don't know his background, but if he had no troubles before this I also would be willing to give a one time second chance. He may be just what he looks like in Madison or maybe he made one mistake.
Unfortunately a school with a good reputation for players staying out of trouble would be the place to go. SIU doesn't appear to be that school right now. I hope for his sake he learned his lesson.
back on Sept 23 Paul Klee predicted Taylor was going to end up at SIU...long before anyone at salukitalk had a clue
and Bradley fans had discussions as to that possibility as much as almost a week earlier...
hmm...given the context of all the troubled kids that were brought into Binghamton and how it caused that whole program to implode...some were wondering if SIU would dare take that chance...
Recall, when asked by the police why he did the breaking and entering and burglary....Taylor blamed it all on getting drunk and making bad decisions...
I for one hope he has learned his lesson and does not see that just because he has a talent he can do whatever he wants. The Wisc. situation should be a huge wake up call. I'm also glad that BU passes on these types of players. I'm all for giving a guy an opportunity but they need to earn it and maintain it. Ou society is way to much into giving people the sense of entitlements. This needs to be stopped!

High risk-high reward??? I know where you are coming from LC, but my thinking here is that SIU already has another player with legal problems. As things stand now,by taking a shot on Taylor, they are in reality taking a shot on 2 players with legal problems which could hurt the team when all is said and done.
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
