There are a lot of Illini fans who are surprised Illinois is always after big men who are so regularly described as "raw"...
this is how Cole, Simpson, Semrau, and even Tisdale were all described....
now Egwu......but a lot of people are quite high on Egwu's talents...
Again...Jerrance Howard does such a great job landing the instate talent...
Looks like Ilprepbullseye was wrong.....Egwu was down
to choosing between Illinois vs. Purdue and was ready to pull the trigger.
They just got done chiding other websites and saying Egwu was still considering other
options and wasn't ready to choose for a while...
They have now removed that article from their site and replaced it with one that
makes it sound like they knew Egwu would choose Illinois all along!

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
