in a season opening tourney...he's played three games, but he is apparently not a starter, and is getting those numbers off the bench, but is actually listed in both games as among the leading scorers!
Londrina doesn not appear to be a really strong team, so it'll be Matt's chance to contribute.
Londrina lost the first game 80-53
then they won 79-69 vs. Flamengo
then they won the tourney's 3rd place game 77-61
I just noticed that. Seems that Londrina management liked Salley, but he wasnt what they was "expecting from a US player".
It??s a shame, but teams in Brazil (as almost in every place of the world) always try to find a US player to save their souls, instead of construct a team with a concret plan (where every player has his role).
In the Londrina games of this small friendly tournament, Salley played little time, but he looked solid.
