Heading back from Nebraska this morning, we caught a little bit of a sports talk radio and they had a Creighton basketball talk show on which included an interview with Altman. At the end of the Interview, they asked Dana for someone who might be a surprise in the Valley this year and he said that no one is talking about Bradley and they could be real good this year. Interesting take from another coach. Sorry, don't have a link or anything on it.

His comment was, "Nobody expects much out of Bradley this year. It's not as hard to surprise if nobody expects much from you, so I'd pick Bradley."

On the other hand, if you are astute enough to realize the potential of a healthy AW and WE (2 players who were not really on last years stats), an emerging TB, and improved CR, and our frosh bigs......then you'll wonder why we are being overlooked.

This pretty much hits it on the head. I don't want to call TB a huge sleeper yet, because he has played just a few good games as a Brave... and we haven't seen how he'll react to 25 min per game. But if the interior players step up and don't hurt us, our guards will carry us far.Don't putt until the cup stops movin'

Who would have led the team in scoring last season had Warren been healthy, Wilson or Warren? BU did not get much production out of Collins so the center position should get more production using multiple players, Maniscalco, Dunson, Roberts, Brown and McCain will be much better players this season so I have a hard time believing this team will finish in the lower half of the conference as I think it is good enough to challenge UNI and Creighton for 1st provided we stay healthy , I also think Prosser will help us a lot more inside as he can rebound and score .(something we haven"t had for some time)

Yeah, its pretty much the same Creighton team coming back from last year when they shared the MVC title and finished 27-8, and, have a coach with a pretty good track record.
Their best player from last year, Booker Woodfox, is gone, but the departure of C Kenton Martin makes CU really thin on experienced bigs this year....
CU's other bigs besides Lawson Jr, are a two frosh recruits, a JC transfer, and a little used senior...BUilding for the Future
