  • USM does it again...

we've had a little fun with Larry Eustachy and his Southern Miss guys....but they have won the prize again for at least the fourth consecutive season, for putting together the most horrendous schedule imaginable for a D-I....with multiple non-D-I's..
Oddly, their RPI and SOS may not show it since a lot of their schedule is NON-D-I!!

Seriously...here are their non-conference opponents.....take a deep breath and try not to gag...
--Louisiana-Lafayette, Loyola of New Orleans (non-D-I), Montana State, William Carey (NAIA), Spring Hill (NAIA), Ole Miss, S. Alabama, Louisiana-Lafayette (again!), North Florida, Canisius, New Orleans, Dillard (non-D-I), then once their conference gets going...they even added Cal State-Bakersfield!
TEN non-conference opponents that are 200+ or non-D-I -- plus their conference will be down, down, down, with the depletion of Memphis...

    tsk tsk....

Didn't Bradley schedule Louisiana-Lafayette twice in one season earlier this decade (I think Coach Mo's last season)? It seems like an odd thing to do.

the most bizarre thing is all those scheduled games against the same NAIA schools year after year...don't they care about drawing any fans??
somebody has to be brutally honest about that schedule...it's terrible....actually beyond terrible.
Who's gonna buy season tix for that lineup of nobodies...?
Louisiana-Lafayette is BY FAR.. the centerpiece of that lousy schedule!
The only six non-conference home games they have are all absolutel no-names!!
..Loyola of New Orleans, William Carey, Spring Hill, Louisiana Lafayette, Dillard, Cal St.-Bakersfield (brand new to D-I)...five of the six are either NON-D-I or just applying for D-I!

their 3700 home attendance average is going to take a serious hit this coming year!
